Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
If you have been called by this company and have agreed to purchase the magazine orders either by verbal agreement on the phone or by actually signing their so called "Gift release Form" you should do the following:

Immediately contact your State's Attorney General Consumer Fraud Hotline and report the company for fraudulent and misleading Telemarketing and violations of the Federal Trade Commission laws. Then contact your State's Governor's Office of Consumer Affairs and make the same report. Family Members of Senior Citizens please contact the League for the Elderly in addition to the above mentioned offices.

For all the "customers" who have already landed in WCP's Collection process, DO NOT PAY the company one red cent. Immediately contact your Credit Card Company that processed your first payment for the magazines and tell them you want the charges from Winners Choice Publishers taken off your account as fraudulently billed charges. The company has to immediately refund you your payment, which they actually did a lot when I worked there.

Naturally, you will be asked by their collections Department to pay the payments by moneyorder from then on out and if you do not pay, they will call you constantly and threaten you with your Credit Rating, Collection agencies and court costs. DO NOT BELIEVE IT!

It is a criminal offense to threaten you with your credit rating, and the company cannot do anything to collect these frivolously and illegally obtained payments from you. Contact your Attorney General and file a complaint for bank fraud against the company as they cannot by law bill your credit card without a signed order or firm agreement that you made with them to purchase these magazines.

Since the offer was presented to you in a fraudulent way they cannot legally collect from you. If you get a call from WCP's collection hounds tell them that you are filing criminal charges against them with the Attorny General's Office and the Governor's Office of Consumer Affairs for Telemarketing Fraud and hang up the phone. Please do NOT trash the bills or postcards that you will get from them keep them as evidence to forward to the authoritities.

This "company" targets the Elderly and thrives on the naivete of Senior Citizens and people who have fallen on hard times hoping to experience a financial windfall in the sweepstakes. Your chances are 580 Million to One in their Rinky Dink Sweepstakes.

The sweepstakes rights are bought from a company named VENTURA Enterprises in New York which is a legitimate company selling to businesses that run sweepstakes. Unfortunately this company is also being utilized by crooks like Winner's Choice Publishers/Reading Club and the sweepstakes offers are being used in fraudulent ways to obtain orders for magazines at hyper inflated prices. I even had complaints from customers who paid the full amount of $985.32 for the 5 year subscription and did not get another magazine after the first year was up.

The company will even call survivors of deceased family members to produce Death certificates and will not stop harassing the family members for that document until they either produce it or the phone numbers are being disconnected. Senior Customers who are diagnosed with Alzheimers must produce a doctor's note stating that their condition is truthful, if they refuse to pay the family members are harassed into paying for at least a one year service. Even that service is outrageously priced: $ 197.08 for a few magazines that you can buy via regular subscription for a fraction of that cost.

This company is ruthless, all their employees are being trained to be aggressive and ruthless in their endevours to write a deal for the company. They are being so pressured into this behavioral pattern by the owner of the compnay just to keep their jobs that they adhere to this performance and disregard any feelings of remorse or morals. 99 Percent of the company's employees are struggling individuals i.e. single mothers with several small children and no other source of income, people down on their luck, divorcees like I was when I joined the company.

The owner of the company docks the employee's paychecks if they go against the rules of the company. If you do not obey, you will be punished for it and lose lots of money that way. Again, if you are called or have already been a customer of this dubious and fraudulent Telemarketing company, please call the agencies I have outlined at the beginning of this report. If you have had any bad experiences with WCP please post a report on this website.

As I said in my previous report the company's owner will be facing dire IRS consequences very shortly, so judgment is around the corner. But as long as they are still operating and calling you, do the right thing! REPORT WCP and put an end to this fraudulent and disgusting company!

Have a blessed day and remember this: DO NOT FALL FOR ANY SWEEPSTAKES PROMISES, DO NOT AGREE TO ANY UNSOLICITED PURCHASES OVER THE PHONE. DO NOT EVER GIVE OUT YOU CREDIT CARD INFO ON THE PHONE OR CHECKING ACCOUNT INFO! You are setting yourself up to be victimized in a major and devastating way!

God bless you all and keep you safe!

They Target: Senior Citizens ..they got your name from other scam artists making money by selling your information.

WCP or Winners Choice Publishers in Norcross takes their money making scheme to the most helpless part of our society, which is our Senior Citizens over the age of 65. The sales force at WCP is dialing outbound from automated dialing systems and has to contact each and every person appearing on their screen. I think I can honestly say that over 90% of the calls generated will have a Senior Citizen on the other line. The compnay will coerce the person via sweepstakes hype into agreeing to a 5 year magazine subscription. The total cost for the mags is $985.32 and will be billed in 12 pmts. of $82.11!!!!!!!! They will naturally not divulge the total cost to you ever, only if you ask, which most people will never do. The sales pitches, billing pitches and end verification pitches are being delivered at lightning speed as to catch the person off guard and leave even more confusion about the orders as there was before. The compnay extracts Credit Card Information and/ or Checking Account information with false and misleading statements about the compny's "good" standing with the ATL BBB and tells the customers that the lines are secured and monitored by the Government. That statement is a blatant lie, as there is NO protection at all for your Credit card Information or other billing info. DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY BILLING INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE EVER! The company tells the customers that they are to receive $650.00 worth of "free" gifts. It is a wrothless little plastic camera and a voucher for 100 rolls of Kodak Film which you can only redeem if you send your undeveloped film to a certain place which then will send you back one roll of free film at a time. The "diamond watch" that they also give out is a worthless little watch you can find in a Family Dollar Store for about 2 bucks. If you decide to sign their so called "GIFT RELEASE FORM" without first reading the fine print you will be locked into a 5 year subscription plan for almost one thousand Dollars. You cannot cancel...ever, but the company only says that they "ask you not to cancel". They will call your house every day for months on end and send you threatening post cards if you have a declined Credit card or cannot pay them for the mags. DO NOT PAY! They cannot do anyhting. Change your phone number and get on the new National "DO NOT CALL " list. Contact the National Fraud Center, the Attorney general of your State, the Governor's Office of Consumer Affairs in Atlanta GA, the FTC, and the League for the Elderly. The company is apparently affiliated with WCP or Winners Choice Publications in Bakersfield CA but runs their office independently in Norcross GA. The owner and his brother had 2 previous companies named CBI or Conzo Brothers Incorporated and the younger brother had a company named "Nationwide Publishers" which was busted in January of 2001 for Telemarketing Fraud. Listen up again folks....don't get upset over these compnaies any longer. Any person who willfully goes along with this fraudulent offers needs to share at least some of the responsibility for the consequences. Quit being naive and gullible. There is no money to be won in these sweepstakes, the chances are practically zero. How does 580 Million to one grab you? Those are the odds of winning WCP's sweepstakes. They will tell you that your in a private small sweepstakes which is held only for the prefered credit card holders and that is how you were entered. BULL......they got your name from other scam artists making money by selling your information. I am hoping and praying that the victims of this company will come forward and contact the authorities to file a fraud report. If you are a family member of a Senior victim, please post a report on this website and let people know what happened. The more reports listed the better the chances are that the fraud will be prosecuted and the company shut down. Sign me "Ex Employee" and sorry I ever worked there

First, let me say "Thanks" for alerting the public to yet another scam and offering info for victims. That is what this site does so well; alerts us then lets us follow up with complaints to appropriate authorities. I am really beginning to take issue with the town of Norcross, GA. We are still reeling from Alyon Technologies and their HUGE ripoff of Americans. Now there is yet another scammy operation in Norcross. The city fathers must be SO proud that Norcross is fast becoming the "Rip-Off Capitol of America". Has anyone ever been to Norcross, GA? I am within one inch of filing a report about the town and every official in the place! How can they tolerate this BS all the time? I may go there one day just to see what these perverted town officials look like! They must look like big, fat, mangy ugly rats!
