The next time you are browsing through your local shopping mall, if you come across a company that sells cell phone accessories called Wireless Dimensions, I urge you to avoid them at all costs. They are located in several malls throughout Florida, Georgia, and Alabama, but the one that cheated me is located in the Countryside Mall in Clearwater, FL.

I paid them cash for a cell phone antenna, only to find out later that it is not giving me a signal. After taking it back to Wireless and watching as they made some sort of inneffective adjustment, I took the phone to a different company, and got an antenna that works. Not only that, I found out that the antenna that Wireless sold me was not compatible with the phone I had.

I went back and explained the situation to them, but they originally said they have a "no refund" policy. I respect that, but I felt this was a special situation since I never should have been sold the wrong type of antenna in the first place. The guy then called his supervisor, who apparently roams from store to store, and I therefore never met face-to-face. He then told me she decided to make an exception in my case, and give me a refund, but since I paid cash, they couldn't give me a cash refund from the register. They said they would have to take my address and mail me a refund check.

So I gave them back the antenna and my address, and what happened next was -- you guessed it -- nothing! I never heard from them again.

Worse yet, I then filed a complaint with the Fla. Dept. of Consumer Affairs and received no help whatsoever! They tried to contact the business for their response to my complaint, but after not being able to contact them through the mail twice, they said they could do nothing more to help me, other than keeping my complaint on file. Nevermind the fact that, after the first failed attempt, I called the mall office to verify that the mailing address was correct. I then took a copy of the complaint and personally delivered it to the business, but still have received nothing!

This situation with Consumer Affairs upsets me even more than the original problem. We are told to turn to these guys for help, and they did very little for me! At least Wireless is a private business, and I have the option of not giving them my business -- no one is forcing me to give them any money. But with a division of state government, it's a different story. I will still be forced to pay those jerks' salaries through taxes!

Don't count on the government for anything! And thank God for people like The Rip-off Report, that still offer some recourse against the perpetrators. And just say "no" to Wireless Dimensions.

Im very sorry that you had a bad dealing with Wireless Dimensions, however, it is a franchise and each store is privatly owned and operated. So just because you had one bad experience doesnt mean everyone will have a bad experience. Im a manager at a Wireless Dimensions store, the company does have a "No Refund Policy", however their ARE exceptions, and if their is a problem with that your very best bet is to talk to the mall manager. The mall manager will usually settle it.. Trust me if the mall manager asks a kiosk owner to do a refund they will do the refund. Last note, in defense on Wireless Dimensions, we have many "Misc" Antennas and an antenna will work no matter what, the only thing is getting it to fit.
