You will soon be getting mulitple reports I am sure, as wmconnect has had major changes and many people now are stuck with a wmconnect and no Local access number as of the 1st of this year. I had a simular problem with Wmconnect in the past...they ended up billing me for over 8 months, even though I made numerous attempts to have the account closed...they tell you it can be done by phone, it really can't...they tell you that yes, this time it is finally removed, then it appears on the next month's bill...I finally found out the only safe way to remove the account was by US Mail. My mother is now trying to close her wmconnect account and this was my recommendation to her: Dear Mom: Here is how you make sure your account is cancelled...for billing purposes..when you mail it, be sure and send a copy to your credit card people and make sure that it says that in your letter of cancellation, so Wal-mart can see that the credit card people have been told! (below is a cut and paste from your contract with wmconnect) You can cancel your membership by delivering notice to the Wal-Mart Connect Member Services Department at 1-888-855-0942, by sending your cancellation request via U.S. Mail to: Wal-Mart Connect, P.O. Box 28650, Jacksonville, Florida 32226-8650. We reserve the right to collect fees, surcharges or costs incurred (whether to us or third-party vendors or content providers) before any cancellation or termination of your membership becomes effective. Your cancellation will take effect within 72 hours of your request and you should receive written confirmation. If you cancel your account near the end of your billing cycle, and you are inadvertently charged for the next month, please call 1-888-855-0942 for a refund. No other refunds will be provided except as otherwise specifically provided in the terms of a particular plan. Please consult Keyword: BILLING to determine the terms and conditions of any refunds that may apply to any particular plan.
