JULY 2000 I WAS SOLICITED AT WORK BY A WORLDCOM WIRELESS TELEMARKETER. I VERY CAREFULLY WROTE DOWN EVERY SINGLE FACET OF THE "PACKAGE" BEING OFFERED. I WAS THEN TRANSFERRED TO A WOMAN WHO CONFIRMED ALL THAT WAS PREVIOUSLY PROMISED. I GAVE MY CREDIT CARD # AND PAID FOR THE PHONE AND REQUESTED A WRTTEN COPY FROM WORLDCOM OF MY CONTRACT. I WAS TOLD THAT WHEN THE PHONE ARRIVED I COULD CALL THE # SUPPLIED AND IT WOULD BE ACTIVATED AND THAT MY CONTRACT WOULD BE SENT WITH THE PHONE. tHE PHONE ARRIVED BUT NOT THE CONTRACT.

IT TOOK 2 MONTHS OF CONTINUOUS CALLS, WHICH INCLUDED BEING ON HOLD FOR AS MUCH AS 2 HOURS AT A TIME,2 DIFFERENT PHONE #'s AND BEING PASSED TO OVER 13 DIFFERENT PEOPLE IN 7 DIFFERENT STATES. (IT SEEMS THERE IS NO ONE IN VIRGINIA) TO FINALLY GET THE PHONE ACTIVATED. THEN THEY HAD THE GALL TO CHARGE ME FOR THE HOURS I SPENT ON HOLD WAITING FOR THEM TO SPEAK WITH ME! EVERY TIME I SPOKE WITH SOMEONE I AGAIN REQUESTED A WRITTEN CONTRACT. TO THIS DAY I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED ONE.

EVERY BILLING STATEMENT I RECEIVE HAS A DIFFERENT "PACKAGE" PLAN OUTLINED,AND THEREFORE THE CHARGES ARE DIFFERENT EVERY TIME. OF COURSE TRYING TO REACH SOMEONE TO DISCUSS MY BILL REQUIRES BEING ON HOLD FOR LITERALLY HOURS! I FINALLY FOUND THE PHONE NUMBER TO THE CORPORATE OFFICES ON THEIR WEBSITE AND CALLED. MR GREGORY CADE ANSWERED AND ACTUALLY TOOK THE TIME TO SPEAK WITH ME AND TO LOOK UP MY ACCOUNT AND ADJUST IT ACCORDINGLY.

HE GAVE ME AN ADJUSTED DOLLAR AMOUNT THAT I AGREED WITH AND SAID THAT AMOUNT WOULD BRING THE ACCOUNT EVEN. I WROTE THE CHECK AS WE WERE YET SPEAKING AND PUT IT IN THE MIDDAY OUTGOING MAIL. THE NEXT MONTH I GOT A BILL THAT DID NOT REFLECT ANY ADJUSTMENT, NO CORRECTION OF THE "PACKAGE" AGREEMENT AND NO ADJUSTMENT IN MONEYS SUPPOSEDLY OWED!

IT WAS AS IF MY CONVERSATION WITH MR. CADE NEVER HAPPENED. I TRIED TO CALL MR CADE AT THE SAME # BUT IT HAD BEEN DISCONNECTED! WHEN I CALLED OTHER #'s AND ASK FOR HIM NO ONE SEEMED TO KNOW HIM! NOW BECAUSE I REFUSE TO PAY THE BOGUS CHARGES THEY HAVE TURNED MY PHONE OFF ENTIRELY.

I HAVE MAILED 13 PAGE COMPLAINT LETTER TO THE FEDERAL COMMUNICATION COMMISSION AND INCLUDED COPIES OF MY BILLING STATEMENTS. BEWARE!!!!!!! EVEN HUGE COMPANIES RIP YOU OFF!!!

YES, I HAVE FILED COMPLAINT PAPERS, A DETAILED LETTER AND COPIES OF FALSE AND INCONSISTANT BILLING STATEMENTS WITH THE FCC. I COPIED WORLDCOM WITH SAME. I ALSO MAILED ALL OF THE AFORE MENTIONED TO CBS 60 MINUTES, 20/20, DATELINE, AND THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. I AGREE THAT WE SHOULD ALL JOIN TOGETHER IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT. REPLY AND LET'S GROW STRONG IN NUMBERS! MY CODENAME IS JAPPLE.

MY LAST CONVERSATION WAS WITH E. MANUEL SIMON. I WAS PASSED TO HIM BECAUSE HE, I WAS TOLD, IS A SUPERVISOR. MR SIMON ADMITTED TO ME THAT THE TELEMARKETING COMPANY THAT ORIGINALLY HAD BEEN FIRED BY WORLDCOM FOR "SLAMMING". HE EXPLAINED TO ME THAT THE "PACKAGE" I CONTRACTED FOR NEVER EXISTED. THEN HE SAID THAT THE CHARGES ON MY STATEMENT WOULD NOT BE REMOVED AND THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY THEM. I WLL NOT! TWICE NOW ADMISSION HAS BEEN MADE TO ME THAT I AM NOT IN ERROR BUT WORLDCOM'S TELEMARKETER WAS. WORLDCOM IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FRAUDULENT STATEMENTS TO ME. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR MORE THAN I AGREED TO. AT FIRST CONTACT I WAS TOLD THAT OUR CONVERSATION WAS BEING RECORDED. WORLDCOM KNOWS THEY ARE WRONG BUT HAS THUS FAR REFUSED TO TAKE RESONSBILITY. IF THEY REFUSE TO GIVE ME SERVICE AS STATED TO ME ORIGINALLY THEY SHOULD PAY TO SET ME UP WITH A NEW COMPANY AND A NEW PHONE.
