I got the free 2 day free vacation package from them and it required us to pick a location. All the locations were pretty much booked up that we wanted, but we finally found one.

Well then come to find out it's a timeshare deal where you have to spend a day listening to them trying to sell something to you. So the free vacation is basically a scam to get you to come to the resort to try and sell you timeshares.

After i told them i did not want to listen to a timeshare they told me there was only a few places that i could go if i didn't want to do the timeshare portion. They told me they would book me on a trip in Florida. So i agreed. and they mentioned i would get all the info on the trip in 10 days.

Well after the information came, it did not specify where i would be staying. It mentioned that i had to go to the Florida Welcome Center to pick up the vouchers. I didn't know how far the Welcome Center was from the hotel or even where i was going.

So i called the Worldwide Travel Center to ask them why I was going to the Welcome Center and they put me on hold and then hung up on me. So i called back and the same thing happened. So i called back again and told her i needed to ask some questions about my vacation. She once again put me on hold and then came back. i then asked her where i was staying and she couldn't answer my question.

then i asked her why i had to go to a welcome center and she just replied to get my voucher...then she was transfering me to a supervisor but then i got some answering machine..i called back and told them i wanted to cancel my reservations be/c i was not going to fly down somewhere w/out knowing any details. she said i have to fill out the paperwork and send it certified mail. yeah ill probably never see that $50 again.

This whole thing was so shady. i'm not gonna end up at some welcome center to stand in line and get a voucher to a hotel that i have no idea where it is until the day i go down there. then i'm sure they'll try and get me to a timeshare presentation as well..it's just all too secretive.

Worldwide Travel Center contracts with partners to provide accommodations. Some partners use various hotels and motels and block space vs reserving rooms on the assumption that some travelers will not arrive. When arriving at a welcome center the traveler is directed to the accommodations.
