Worldwide Van Lines LLC Worldwide Transfer Held goods for ransom, jacked price up, damaged goods delray beach, Florida
My moving number with them was 1591***. Moved from (((REDACTED))) . A short summary of what happened is that Worldwide Vanlines sold my contract to Worldwide Transfer, who tried to hijack my stuff and demanded an additional fee or they would keep my stuff. I also had several items arrive broken.
Items broken:
Oak end table
Oak China cabinet
washing machine
refridgerator
still unpacking boxes, to be continued.
The owner of worldwide transfer is named Bobby. He refused to honor my contract with worldwide van lines, and demanded more money or he would keep my stuff.
I will send my contract to a BBB specialist with the amounts involved.
What I want: To get my money refunded and get a complaint logged so no other nice people get their things hijacked.
I was able to finally get all of my things delivered by basically playing the driver against his company. He saw my contract and went ahead and unloaded his truck, against the will of his president/owner. I did not appreciate someone demanding money outside of the contract or else they would keep my things. That is robbery, and I don't appreciate being cursed at.
I want refunded for the 130.90 and I want damage payments for my broken/scratched furniture. The washing machine needs replaced the ENTIRE water temp knob was broken off in a way that can't be replaced, and the scratched/chipped furniture needs fixed. I am not sure what $ amount to put on the scratches and chipping other than replacement. I am willing to negotiate with them. A new washer should be around $400 and new replacement furniture would be around $600. China cabinets are expensive and so was our end table, it was a matching set.

I was told they would send me a $200 settlement....never got it a year later.
