Using the information provided on RipOffReport by Renae, we located her account with iFriends. A short time after Renae wrote the above complaint, she contacted our Customer Care department. She requested that her account be closed. A Customer Care representative closed the account and provided her with a cancellation number. At Renae's request, the representative also refunded the charges mentioned in her complaint. Renae should see these charges refunded to her account within the next 5 to 7 business days. The iFriends account was created by someone who had complete knowledge of Renae's personal information, including her credit card number, billing address, and email address. This person created a VIP membership, which resulted in Renae being charged a monthly fee of $6.95. As mentioned above, we have refunded those charges. Each time we sent a charge to Renae's credit card, we also included a telephone number -- toll-free from Australia -- so that she could have immediately accessible contact information. In addition, we also provide a link to email and telephone contact information on every page of our website, and we provide toll-free telephone numbers for more than 30 countries (including Australia). Despite this, Renae chose not to contact us until just this week. Had she contacted us at any time in the past, we would have been happy to immediately refund the charges and cancel the account, as we have now done.
