I scheduled my recent move with these guys and paid dearly for the mistake.  Here's what I was told when I booked them:

"I have an experienced 2 men crew available.  Rate for this crew is $55 per hour and a one time $45 fuel charge.  Move time starts when we start moving the furniture.  Two movers will handle your move quickly and safely.  After 2 hours we prorate every 15 minutes to make your move more cost efficient.  I estimate your move time @ 2-3 hours based on the information provided.  Total rate for 2 hours is $155. Our rates include 24-26' moving truck, padding of furniture, equipment, insurance, full 3 and 4 men crews to minimize move time and for added protection.  We utilize our own full time crews and do not hire to third parties or day laborers.  Our rates also include stairs, elevators, long walks, dis/reassemble with tools, no box limit."

Two guys showed up at 10:30 (30 minutes later than the latest estimate of arrival) with a beat up, old, low-ceiling 16' trailer (no 24-26' moving truck). They quickly concluded that my things wouldn't fit on such a small trailer and informed me that we'd have to make at least two trips. Instead of the 2 - 3 hour estimated move time, they said it would take at least 7 hours just to get out of my place and then they'd have to move me into my new place. The price went through the roof along with the time estimate.

I have no idea what Wrightway was thinking sending such a small trailer or why their move time and cost estimate quadrupled. I'd clearly informed them I lived in a 3rd floor 1,085 sq. ft. loft apartment with one bedroom and that there was a freight elevator located down a short hallway (50' or so).

It took them another 30 minutes of calls back and forth to figure out if they could even do the move and then Tanya (the dispatcher) placed an accusatory call to me. She blamed me for having too much stuff and too great a distance to the elevator. The whole thing was ridiculous and rather than spending three or four times more time and money than they had estimated, I asked them to leave and scrambled around to make other moving arrangements. Wrightway completely destroyed my move day schedule and budget and I wouldn't use them again even if they worked for free. It was by far the worst move I've ever endured and as a result of the last minute scramble caused by Wrightway's incompetence, it was also my most expensive. Once I'm settled into my new place, I'll be having my attorney contact Wrightway.

These guys are simply the worst...use them at your own risk.
