I am sorry that you have had problems with Lisa or www.texashorse.org. I have bought a few horses from them. No they can't know everything, but they know a lot. They alway let people do a vet check on any horse you purchase. I would buy from over and over again. They always have told me a truth on every horse I purchased. People bring the horses to them and tell them what they have done with the horses. They do go on a lot of trail rides, not with wagons or big trail rides, but they go into the woods and down the road. They take in horses that people do not want or out of the kill pen. If it wasn't for them a lot of these horses will meet there misfortune at a hand of a killer. Now it sounds to me that they have a problem with them, but I do not see it. I like them and will buy from them again. Please do not let the negative report stop you for going and look at what they have. I don't think you will be sorry

I have bought a lot of horses from http://www.texashorse.org/ and they alway told me the truth! It sounds like to me that you will not be happy with any horse. It sounds like to me you do not know much about horses.

I have been there and bought several horses from them and I will go back if I need another one.  They tell me the truth on every horse I bought. I did not want a kid horse so they showed me one and I fell in love with him. The girls know a lot about horses and they have helped me when I asked.

Lisa is the most honest person I have ever talked to in the horse business. They don't know everything, but they know a lot.

Please give them a chance you will not be sorry

I`m sorry about your bad luck, but i have had nothing but pleasure from the horses I have bought from them. And I will buy again in the future.

#1 they can only go by the ages that are on the coggins when they get the horses. That is not there fault if someone else lied about the age of a horse, before they got them. I have found that Individuals lie sometimes more than traders about the ages. One of my horses I bought from them was CLEARLY STATED to be 24 years of age. So why would they tell one person 8Yrs on a 20yr old and another the real age. I just find it hard to believe. It would be more believable that they got the horse in with a 8yr coggins and the people they got the horse from lied. NOT THEM... Not everyone knows how to age a horse by its teeth. And not all horses teeth age the same.. Horses teeth grow till they die or they loose their teeth first. Some horses teeth age slower or faster than others.

#2 They have several horses coming in weekly and I`m sure they though he was truly over being sick. They Quarantine all the horses that come in new and also keep all sick horses from the well one. I was just out their last week and they did not have 1 sick horse on the property. Otherwise they would have told you he was still sick in my dealings with them. They would not have tryed to sell you a sick horse with strangles to get the rest of your horses sick.

#3 They have always told me I could vet a horse within 3 days of getting it home. And if it did not vet they would give me another horse or refund me the money 100% plus vet costs.Whichever i wanted to do. So far I have never had to take a horse back.

#4 I have never known them to lie about how tall a horse is. Are you sure you know your heights? They have a slab they stand the horses on and a TB stick that they measure the hands of the horses with. So it seems kinda odd that you are says they said 15 hands when he is under 14 hands. Its just real hard to believe.

#5 All of my horses but One have been Kid horses and the one that wasn't was stated on the website that it WAS NOT a kids horse. Here again they go by what the people say to them about a horse and from their exp. from riding that said horse.

#6 was the horse that was acting spooky in its Usual Surroundings? or was it in a New place? A lot of horses are nerves in a new place when they first come in. I don't ride any of my new horses till they have settled in for a good 4 days and know the place. Expressly on a young horses. I`m guessing the horse was young since you said it had strangles. You see that more in babies to 4yrs old.

#7 i find it kinda odd also that it was calm in a video than not in person.. Now I bet you are fixing to say it was drugged? right? Well this goes back to the, they let you do vet checks and will even let you do a blood panel on the horses.

Like I said, sorry about your bad exp.. I would like to buy your old horse that you got from them.. How much do you want for him? I lover older horses.
