Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

This is by far the worse moving experience I have ever encountered.  This will be my second major move across country.  I wish I would have gone with the company that did my first move but this is  what I get for trying to cut corners.  First of the sales person was very nice to me in the beginning in order to get my business but once  it came down to the actual service, things got really bad.  The initial quote I was given doubled once they had my stuff although I didnt take up double the space in their truck. At this point my only option was to have them unload my stuff which I couldnt do so I had no choice but to pay double what I was quoted.  There were major damages once they delivered my stuff, one of my tvs was cracked, my expensive dresser had a dent, my expensive mirror was broken completely and my head board was damaged hence they couldnt assemble it.  Also they charged me an extra $100 upon arrival because my apt was on the 3rd fl.  Ridiculous!  Just stay away from this company all together.  Their service is really bad and they do not care once you are locked in.  At this point I am filing a claim with their insurance so I will come back with a review once I am done dealing with their claims department.

Betty did speak with one of our sales representatives and provided a list of items that she wanted relocated from NY to TX. The initial list was only 36 pieces, the customer also did an electronic signature agreeing that the list was correct.  The price would have remained the same had the customer kept the original list.

On the day of pick-up the customer had a total of 81 items to be relocated which is more than doubled the original list. The large increase in items did cause the price to be increased. Betty was informed that if she wanted the price to remain the same as the quote we would only take the items on the initial list. Betty insisted on taking all of her items so as a company courtesy Betty was given a courtesy discount of $650.00 to help with the additional cost of the move.  This discount did not need to be provided, however customer satisfaction is our number on goal and we did want to help Betty as much as possible.

Regarding the damages on delivery Betty was provided the claims department phone number which is a third party company and the claim is being processed.

We include the first flight of stairs at both the pick up and destination locations any additional flights of stairs are at a cost of $75.00 per flight, again Betty was given a discount of $50.00 to help with the additional cost. Betty was notified of the additional cost well prior to her reserving her move when she spoke with the sales representative, it is also in the moving quote and again on the delivery form to which Betty signed and agreed to the additional cost if any applied.

Betty should have provided us with the correct information from the beginning. If we were provided the correct list and the correct destination location the quote would have been accurate from the beginning. Betty made last minute changes and hide information hindering us from providing a correct quote.  Also we did provide Betty with a large discount just to make sure she was a satisfied customer even with that she is still unhappy. We feel as though Betty will never be a satisfied customer as we have gone above and beyond to resolve this matter with her.
