I gave my permission for my daughter to use my Visa check card for a one time use. Yahoo personals took the number and ran with it. They used it as a auto-pay on a monthly basis. I called my bank to stop payment while it was pending and was told you can not stop it. It has to go through and in three days you can reverse the charge. I did, only to have the reversal reharged to my account a month later.

Needless to say I now have over drafts totaling over three hundred dollars. I have called Yahoo, Visa and Bank of America. I have emailed and sent letters my next step is to try to file criminal charges against Yahoo, for fraud. I did send them a request for payment from Paypal, to see if I can get them to return the $49.90 they stole from me.

Yes we cancelled the personal within two weeks but yahoo has a technology that at the end of the cancel a bar pops up asking you if you are sure we did not know that we had to click it to complete the transaction. We were able to cancel it after two months and a total of $49.90 was taken out without my authorization. I was told by Visa and by Bank of America that with debit cards on online billing you can not stop a charge period. I spent all day today on the computer and on the phone just trying to get my money back. I then found this website How wonderful! This is America and this website has not only given us a voice but also an ear! Thank you!

I sent them all of the emails to and from Yahoo!.com and a copy of this letter. Within a few weeks Bank of America sent me a confirmation letter agreeing with my situation after an investigation. The report that I filed with the Internet fraud division has been fruitful as well. They forwarded my complaint with the Attorney Generals office in Maryland. Last week I recieved the letter from them, which stated the high interest they had in pursuing the Yahoo!com issue. I did recieve a written letter from yahoo explaining why I was charged but with no action on their part. It was typical form letter. Even though My money was returned, it was from my bank. They have insurance to protect us. This money did not come back from Yahoo! I am still pursuing this through the internet fraud division with the FBI. I am hopeful for an account reimbursement to the insurance company.
