with over 20 years in the plumbing industry I thought i could spot a con, boy was I wrong! I got involved with this company from a unsolicited cold call (bad idea), the salesman explained how yodle gets your company on the 1st page of google, yahoo and bing for a small monthly payment of 139$! yodle will even create a website for your company and send monthly reports so you know your progress with yodle. My credit card info was needed to lock in the deal, as there was limited spots available (bad idea). As soon as my info was processed, the salesman starts in with they can't guarantee 1st page placement at all times, so I started asking about the website. Well your company never actually owns the website, your company telephone number is never placed on anything, they use their own phone numbers to "track" progress and now you are now (my company) is locked into a 6- month contract. I informed the salesman I don't agree with this and I don't want to get involved with this train wreck and the phone magically disconnected. Called the company back and was told that salesman had left for the day and he was the only with access to my account, this happened for 2 days. Contacted my bank they reversed the charges of $195.00 this all happened. 10/4-10/6/13. Well the bank just informed that yodle has sent bank of america paperwork showing I have a contract with them and they are sending back my $195.00, even though no Seo services were provided. Internet presence is important for most if not all business but please steer clear of the scammers, they prey on small business and I hope this helps someone.

They Hold Your Site Hostage

I am actually trying to work with a client in the local area with my services at GetFoundMarketing.org and I've been consulting a current customer of "Yodle" and they are horrendous. They are acutally holding the company hostage, with NO FTP access, Domain registration not in the owners name and an overall runaround. 

They are scrupulous pushy non-informative sales people, pushing an inconsistent, inconsiderate service.

I will say first hand my experience with them has opened my eyes, and makes my job harder for those that have been abused by them!
