You know, I love this site. Lots of reasons really, but I visit nearly every day and read all the reports. What I've noticed is a pattern of people who have given XYZ company their checking account information in exchange for merchandise or service or a line of credit.

THIS IS A VERY BAD IDEA!

You're asking for trouble when you give any company, legitimate or otherwise, your bank account information. What you're essentially doing is giving them free reign to dip in whenever they feel like it and anything any rep tells you does not hold the company legally responsible. Once these companies have your information they can, quite legally, take any amount at all at any time.

THEY CAN EMPTY YOUR CHECKING ACCOUNT AND YOU HAVE NO LEGAL RECOURSE!

Please, do yourself a favor and avoid falling into this trap. While it looks like a good idea for those without credit cards it's really a bomb waiting to explode right in your face.

If you truly want the ability to use credit cards then go down the street to the bank and apply for a secured card. Despite what the ads may tell you a secured card will not only help you build credit, but your money will earn interest.
