I contacted Mr.Ambot after being referred to him by several Subaru WRX owners that had good experieinces with him completing E-Tunes. I was having knock sensitivity and needed some help, Ambot sent me a base-map for an E30 tune under the guise that we would be tuning it specifically to my car.

I paid him the $300 he asked for and then he became unresponsive. The car started having issues and I returned it to stock informing him that his tune wasn't working because he never actually made the effort to finish the tune. He said he was sorry and would issue a refund.

Now it has been 3 months, and I contact him weekly about the refund but he will not issue it.

He just laughs at me for being stupid enough to send him money, and mocks me openly on social media. I would avoid getting tuned by this guy no matter the platform you run (BMW, Supra, WRX, STI, EVO, etc.)

Don't make the mistake I did. Beware.

Alright, guys here's the deal. I'm sure he will delete this post once this is all posted. An Etune is a Digital Good. As most tuners, we do NOT offer refunds once a tune is sent. This is because while digital products can be downloaded they cannot be returned like a physical product, and the same goes for any digital services offered.

I was being nice and provided him a parital refund which I processed on square. Square for some reason didn't give him the refund. Maybe due to the fact that on my site it clearly states no refunds. His tune went on for 2 months due to HIS CVT trans f**king up. Then he decided to ask for a refund. Today he started a Facebook post about it, and it was mentioned that he was selling his car. He then tried to call me a liar and then I posted up screenshots of him saying he was. Lol

Paid for the tune March 4th at 1:32 am

March 9th we finally started the tune due to him waiting on parts.

March 20th The CVT trans in his car started to take a s**t. Tuning stopped.

March 22 He tells me he will keep me updated.

July 2nd(A whole 3 months after he told me to wait for an update) He sends me this on Facebook " Hey Bro would you be willing to refund my tune since we cant finish it "

I reply with " Email me, but most tuners don't give out refunds for tunes that are started. and its been months "

And his Reply " I hear that bro I already am stuck with the car tho and having to repair to sell etc. ill shoot you an email and you know i always throw your name out when people ask about tunes "

Mind you I sent him a Partial Refund of $125 even though I didn't need to an hour after he asked. But he never got it due to square for some reason. I posted up proof of this.

On July 27th I got this msg from him " So since you can afford a supra can you please refund the tune you never completed? "

  1. Most if not all tuners don't offer refunds.

  2. Most if not all tuners will make people repay if they take more then a month.

It's Not my fault that your car started acting up mid tuning. You can't expect a refund and clam i stole your money and never completed the tune. This was your own cars fault, not mine.

I decide to be nice because you have personal s**t going on and I felt bad and before you try to save your a*s and say you didn't have personal issues. I got this msg on Aug 5th " I just got hit with some fat medical bills and losing the car so... I appreciate what you can do. " After I said id give you a partial refund.

People go through personal s**t all the time, but don't sit there and try to make my business look back and say I took your money and stole it. We couldn't finish the tune due to your car. I can't get back the time I spent on it.

Oh, and you could've easily disputed the charge with AMEX. I'm 100% sure AMEX would've given your money back for a Digital Good...... Not. I know first hand.
