I purchase a Warranty Service Plan from American Home Shield last September 2, 2022 with an effective date on October 5, 2022. I paid $57.49 for first month and a service fee for $75.00. On October 17, I called for a repair for my broken SHOWER VALVE AND PREPAID THE SERVICE OF $75.00 FROM MY VISA CARD.
1. On October 18, 2022 Amercian Home Shield scheduled 5 Star Home Services to send a technician between 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM. However the technician came at around 1:00 PM unannounced. 2. The technician name Argo look at the shower valve, however he did not even know the difference between a shower valve and a faucet as he was insisting that the broken valve was a FAUCET. 3. After looking at the problem he told me that he cannot fix the valve and that American Home Shield will not cover the repair even though it was clearly stated in the Warranty Plan under Section 4. Plumbing that repair/replacement of SHOWER VALVE is covered. 4. On October 21, 2022 American Home Shield left me a message that they will not cover the repair/ replacement because the technician from 5 Star Home Services made a false claim that I tried repairing the problem. I think this is a scam trick so that they can collect the Service Fee of $75.00 without doing the job 4. If American Home Shield will not honor their agreement, I would like to request FULL REFUND of thhe payment I made for the plan of $57.49 plus the Service Fee of $75.00 totalling $132.49.
