I hired Andy's Sprinkler, Drainage, and Lighting to repair my sprinkler heads because I was expecting company from out of town. When I was making the appointment they made me aware that they charge $90 to come out just to give you an assessment and I was willing to pay that. They would not give me any quotes over the phone even though I asked specifically how much they charge for changing a sprinkler head.
Once they arrived they made me aware that they charge $29 for "each" 4" head nozzle, $39.80 for each riser (the taller ones that spray the bushes) . My bill came to $607.81. This is just to replace the heads (15 nozzles and 3 risers). There was no damage at all to the underground piping. I did agree for them to do the work otherwise I would have been out of the $90 and I was also in a pinch since I was expecting company from out of town.
I wanted to file this complain because I feel it is important to make government agencies and people in general aware of company's that take advantage of people by charging exorbitant prices. They know not to disclose prices over the phone to make the sale more possible. They are sneaky. They didn't even do a good job. I had to keep pointing out heads that were leaky after they replaced them and were ready to call it a day.
The technician finally said to me that even when things cost a lot of money that they won't be perfect because nothing is perfect.
