CREST PAYROLL Payroll Logix Inc Always problems with filings and shorting of taxes Morristown New Jersey
We are a small accounting firm that was searchhing for a payroll providor to partner with. We tried using this website for our payroll processing of various clients. At first, the website looked nice and the response time was good. The staff assigned to our account seemed nice, but had an extremely strong indian accent. Was exstremely difficult to understand so much that my staff (Payroll manager), was getting very frustrated understanding the conversation.
Problems started after we noticed filings were not being done correctly, for example, the federal 941 was diffferent thatn the state report. Then we noticed clients were starting to receive notices for failure to pay taxes, which is when we started to THink twice about switching our payroll providor partner. Ends up taxes were not being paid on several accounts, W-2's were off, quarterly filings were wrong and did not match up with the quarterly filing totals. Etc. etc., you get my point. What a mess.
In the end, we lost four of our accounts because of the incompetence. Our clients finger pointed to us and we switched ASAP to another company and now have no issues for over a year. It was a nightmare of notices and clients yelling at me, being the owner, and my staff. UnF**cking believeable. I can't stand crest payroll for what they did and the worst part about it, is they would not even respond to my request via email or phone calls for help and what the heck is happening? They play stupid and say it was nothing they did. And to really top it off, they more than doubled their rates per client I brought on without notifying us.
If you run payrolls or have a Payroll processing company, please stay away from them. Don't let the cheap pricing fool you, you will be receiving the notices soon enough from the respective goverment agencies. We lost about $15k of business a year because of their incompetence.
