Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

In July of 2021, I needed to buy a new truck but there were none in the entire country. I found one at Freeway Ford in Lyons, Illinois that had just under 10,000 miles on it so I flew into Chicago, took an Uber to this business and bought the vehicle, driving it back to Ohio the same day. About a week later we saw that they had swapped out the inner dual tires for some bald ones.

When I contacted our sales rep, he said he would forward the complaint to the owner. Crickets. I asked to be partially reimbursed for having to buy two new tires. When I submitted a complaint to the Chicago BBB, the owner Kevin, tried to say that we have complained about the wrong company since their corporate office was in another state.

When I called him out on this lie, he then emailed me and said that I had an opportunity to inspect the used truck. Inspect for his fraud? I hope that anyone who is considering doing business with this charlatan reads this.

One excuse after another! FACT: The tires were EASY TO SEE. If YOU would have used COMMON SENSE, YOU would have checked them first to see if they were safe for the trip AND AT THAT TIME...YOU...would have seen what they did and YOU could have prevented this by using your head to do a PRE-DELIVERY INSPECTION to make sure everything was good with your purchase! However, as this society continues to circle the drain, you and countless others do nothing more that BLAME EVERYBODY ELSE for your own failures=FACT!!!

So if you don't work there then how to you know anything about the Better Business Bureau? Thank you for helping make my point to the reader which is the sole purpose of this complaint. By saying that I am somehow responsible for catching Freeway Ford's criminal act is a deflection.

This would not have been done to me if I had been a local customer who could walk back into the store and face whoever was directly responsible for the purposeful act. I could take Freeway Ford to small claims court over two $550 tires and I would win but I am done wasting my time with companies such as yours. You want to insult me and talk about personal responsibility? Look in the mirror.

Those tires...they are located in such a place where YOU can VERY EASILY see them. You spend money to go to this place and buy this thing, then you don’t even have enough COMMON SENSE to check your tires even for safety purposes. How much in BOGUS FEES did they stick you for on the paperwork which you probably didn’t even read?

They changed the tires which YOU should have seen. YOU could have prevented this but in the very typical blame game BS, it’s all their fault because YOU didn’t even bother to look at your tires! You run to the BBB thinking they are going to save you! The BBB is NOT part of ANY government or law enforcement body and have absolutely ZERO power to do anything!

You just had to have THAT truck. Your tongue was hanging out so much you didn’t even use BASIC COMMON SENSE to see what you were buying! Don’t bother saying it, I’ll tell you ahead of time..I don’t work for them!
