I've been with this company for 3 year this Dec. When I first came to them I was with FTI Trucking hauling flatbed. When FTI terminated my contract had 2 ex FTI employees who went to Simplex Leasing. Russ Garza and Justin Logsdon tried hiring me for month before I finally come over. Numerous other FTI employees started working for Simplex including drivers and office personnel. I picked a 2016 International Lonestar 3HSCXAPR7GN281824 black in color.

After a few months a previous driver returned to work for Simplex informed me my truck was a rollover somewhere out west. Which would explain the hood being painted black. When I got the truck items didn't work properly on it. Following are the items that need repaired. No Air horn, power divider, air bag release and 5th wheel slide none of these worked with switches. Was taken to Thompson Truck and Trailer for those repairs to be done. Took them 1/2 a day to figure out what wrong but I already bought the solenoids for the air bag and 5th wheel release on frame.

Dealer contacted Nate Sadofsky, He was told the bcm was bad in truck. The bcm wasn't correct for the year of manufacture date. This was 1st time I expected the driver was telling me the truth about the rollover. Then a few older drivers said same thing. Nate Sadofsky ordered new stickers for door post in drivers door which had peeled of and exposing a 2009 date on cab. I took pictures of this Vin number. This explained why B& B Truck Trailer who is owned by Simplex Leasing did the bcm replacement and installed the new solenoids on frame.

After B&B was done with the BCM I then went back to dealer to have it reprogrammed. Shortly after wiper motor issues started. When at Thompson Truck and Trailer technician put relays back in place. Wiper would come on but wouldn't work right. Took it back after I couldn't figure out after installing a new wiper motor myself.  After 8 months the right steer tire started wearing funny.  Had a set of steers sitting around I put them on truck. After about 6 months they did same thing. Nate let me use the Goodyear dealer in Davenport IA for 2 new tires which also did an 3 axle alignment.

That's when I started looking into the truck. Other driver told truck was laid over on right hand side. As a ex wrecker driver knowing it takes more force to bring back on all 10 wheels. My brother and I knew there was going to be major repairs to front end was after a 3nd set of steers did same thing.  Kingpins are no replaceable on a Hendrickson steer axle. We're both mechanics for years with both of us 50 years experience. So  we took out pitman arm, tie rods, leaf springs, shackle bushings, kingpin bushing, passenger upper and lower spindle housing. This was months to rebuild the whole front suspension. After all of this it still wore the right front steer tire funny.

June of this year I put a new set if Michelin steer tires on truck. Still same issue that's when we decided that the steer axle or kingpin is bent. Had Thompson Truck Trailer in Dubuque IA order a new front axle which is $1300 and still setting in the dealer stock. This company repairs trucks and doesn't have them inspected because they're keeping clean titles on them. They don't turn them into the police or insurance company when they're wrecked.
