Tom's Auto Refinishing & Collision Tom’s Auto Body NASTY OWNER/POOR SERVICE Huntington New York
We have lived in Huntington for over 40 years and have NEVER had a problem with a business like this. The owner Tom has got to be one of the nastiest people I have ever met. The niceness he gives you in the beginning is just to get you in the door. My mother is 75 years old. We brought a new vehicle (2019) in to be worked on and Tom made commitments which he did not keep. After inspecting the vehicle, we agreed on a cash price for the repairs, and Tom said that if there were any additional items needed to be repaired, he would let us know immediately, and that we could pick up the car and bring it somewhere else if we chose to. But we never heard anything from him and a week later we got a call from Tom and he said the car was done. That’s when he told us he added an additional charge to the bill. I explained to him politely that this isn’t what we agreed to, and he immediately started to get angry, threatened to rip the part off the car, and then still to this day has refused to provide an invoice showing the part was installed. And despite remaining polite and courteous to him, Tom hung up the phone in our face while we were just trying to reasonably work through the situation. With all the auto body shops in Huntington, I cannot warn people enough to stay away from this business. Tom is disrespectful and unprofessional, and he clearly has anger management issues. He treats, at least in our case, his customers like complete garbage. The entire experience was just disgusting. I hope we were able to prevent this from happening to someone else by leaving this review! J
