I called 1-877-297-7793 after experiencing technical difficulties with processing payment around 6pm this evening. I spoke to a woman whose name I could not even pronounce. She asked me for "three very important questions for verifying identity" purposes. First was my member ID number or Social Security Number, then my Full Name, and then my DOB.

The lady told me that she said there was an error on my account but didn't speak much English to explain to me what the error was on my account. Then I got hung up on. So I called back (once again), and spoke to a lady name Christie who also didn't speak much English. I told her my situation and how I had got hung up on, and she asked me the same three questions. Told me that there was a conflict with the cards used on my account. So she took off my VISA card and put the MASTERCARD number on there, and she said to try logging in again. However, I have no username or password because I never registered to be a member on that particular site (http://www.creditreport.com).

So I tried to log in with the info provided knowing that I do not have login info to provide and it said that the database didn't recognize the info provided. So then I tried looking up my account using the "Need help logging in?" link. I entered in my first and last name, DOB, and last 4 digits of my SSN, and it said that no account was recognize in the database with the information provided. So I told Christie that, and she said that there must be a problem or conflict of interest with either the e-mail that I was using to process the payment, or the credit cards were insufficient.

So I switched my e-mail, and tried filling out the form again using a different e-mail address but same information, and it redirected me to the login page saying that I had already submitted a payment into them. So then the woman told me that it is either my e-mail that is the problem, or it is the cards. I then asked Christie if I could speak to a Supervisor, and she said "ok, hold on for just a moment please" and put me on hold.

She put me on hold for about 5mins and then came back to the phone and said "Ok ma'am I have to located a Supervisor and tell him about the situation so please stay on the line ma'am. I will now put you on hold." I said ok, and stayed on the line. I was on hold for a total of 10mins and then was hung up on while on hold.

So then I called back and I spoke to a man name June who would not provide me with his last name when asked. I asked him to speak to a Supervisor immediately. He said ok, but first man I must ask you 3 important questions to verify your identity. I told him that I would like to be directed to the Supervisor. He said that in order to direct me to the Supervisor that he had to verify my account. I said ok. So he asked me for my SSN, and I gave it to him. Asked me for my name and I gave it to him. Asked me for my DOB, and I asked him why am I not being redirected to speak with a Supervisor and he said because I have to verify your identity. I asked what his name was and he said June. I asked him for his last name and he stumbled. Saying that he wasn't allowed to give it. I said sir, what is your last name and he neglected to give it. He said for security purposes, that he was not allowed to give out his last name.

So then my mother came and grabbed the phone after I kept getting the run-around and asked the man for his last name and still he refused to get it. Then she asked him to put the Supervisor on the phone, and he placed my mom on hold. While on hold, she gave me back the phone, and was still on hold for 5mins more. Then he came back to the phone and said that he has to go and locate the Supervisor and that he would have to place me back on hold. I said sir, isn't that what you were doing the first time you had me on hold? And he said I am sorry about that ma'am but I must place you on hold to go locate the Supervisor and tell him your dilemma. I said sir, that is what happened last time and how I got hung up on the last time. You are gonna locate the Supervisor with me on the phone, you will not have me on hold, and you will tell him what's going on while I am on the phone. Then you are gonna hand him the phone so I can speak with him.

He still talked about placing me on hold, I told him not to put me on hold at all. Then he sat the phone down I guess to attempt to locate the Supervisor and came back to the phone stating that he was still looking for a Supervisor. I asked him does it really take him that long to locate a Supervisor and he said I do apologize for that ma'am....and that was when I hung up the phone on him.

Sorry about your experience. I have also had very bad experience with the major credit bureaus and I am very dissapointed they all outsource now and have offices in India. However, most people don't know that the credit bureaus (all three of them) came under different rules a few years ago to make them fairer to people. most people would dispute a debt and it would never be removed. This happened to a woman in Arkansas and she filed a lawsuit against the credit bureaus and the debt was removed. They have an obligation to be fair. The three major credit bureaus were created by the Business Chamber of Commerce and they will sell your information to people too for money. They are really not on your side. Or my side. They exist solely for the businesses that is how businesses can hold people hostage.

File complaints. They are businesses too. Not special. And have been sued many times and lost. File a complaint against them.
