My story is the same as everybody elses:

I purchased $5500 worth of tables and chairs after seeing one of Larry's numerous websites. The order was not delivered by the delivery date. Larry begins to dodge calls/emails. When he does answer the phone, he gives excuses as to why the order has not been shipped. He sends shipping quotes and indicates that they are bills of lading that have been scheduled for shipping. Its not true. More dodged phone calls and excuses mixed with empty promises to make things right.

Current status as of 11/4/17: I am waiting for a promised refund in the form of a cashiers check to be overnighted to me.

I believe Larry is running a ponzi scheme.

Apparently, he does ship some products. It appears that many orders are only partially fulfilled and in small amounts over a long period of time, much to the dismay of the customers. I have even confirmed that he has made payments at times to cover rental fees incurred due to unfulfilled orders. Some people have received refunds only after many prolonged headaches in dealing with Larry. Some have filed claims in small claims court.

There are numerous complaints/footprints spread out over Facebook (Chiavari Chairs Direct), this website, the BBB, Yelp, LinkedIn, public records searches, etc. All have the same pattern. I believe Larry uses some proceeds from current orders to placate the grievances of customers who have been dragged along with his excuses and promises for weeks and months. I believe there are many more people out there who have suffered damages and have essentially given up and let him keep their money without ever getting the products they ordered.

I can't even begin to imagine how somebody like Larry sleeps at night with the kinds/volume of phone calls and emails he must receive on a daily basis. He is currently a defendant in a civil case pending in California Central District Court - He is being sued for fraud - if you can imagine that.

 I dont believe he does it alone, although he is the only one who ever answers the phone. He must spend large amounts of money to maintain the internet advertising presence he has to draw in countless new customers continually. He keeps good track of new prospects- he called me 2x a day for two weeks with different numbers before I decided to buy from him. He also keeps track of people he has swindled so he can screen their calls and avoid them. Somebody often provides rebuttals to posts on this page.  Somebody has to arrange for the purchase and shipping of the product which does actually get delivered.

I just can't believe this has gone on this long. It has to stop.

11/9/17- Larry sent me a tracking number (supposedly for a refund) for a USPS package that was never shipped. He refuses to answer my calls. He does not return my emails or voicemails.

So, I thought I was actually done dealing with Larry Hoffman, but that is not the case. After initially clearing the funds placed in my account as a refund, the bank has now placed a hold on those funds because Chase Bank said Larry doesnt have any money.

Larry deserves to be in jail.

After more than 15 emails, many more phone calls, numerous posts on social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Youtube), hours of research, complaints with Ripoffreport.com, BBB, California Attorney General's office, California Department of Consumer Affairs, contacts with the LA County District Attorney's office, Bates and Bates law offices, and a new app on my phone to change my caller ID, . . . I WAS FINALLY ABLE TO GET A FULL REFUND OF MY MONEY.
