As the former owner of an AAMCO TRANSMISSIONS shop (now retired) and the former transmissions Instructor at Boise State University VOCATIONAL-TECHNICAL School (retired) and Special Technical Advisor for Auto and Diesel Mechanics Instructors for Curriculum Development for twenty-four vocational schools in the Kingdom of Saudi-Arabia I was impressed that the shop owner in this case was suffering the the Shop Owners Worst Nightmare.
Here's a customer that has a concern about the way her(?) car performs after an expensive repair but never explains what it does or doesn't do thus leaving us suspicious that it just doesn't work like it used to which might be why it was taken to the shop to begin with. She gets no credibility because she does not explain the nature of the lingering problem. What prompted taking it to the shop to begin with and was that issue resolved? I have had customers demand that their transmission work in ways that the unit was never designed to do and could not be adjusted to make it do that.
Is this one of those customers whose linguistic ability is so limited that she can't communicate her concern to the shop manager? Or cannot assimilate the Manager's explanation of why he can't accomplish her desire.
On the other hand let's hear from the shop manager. If it has a problem Ya Gotta Fix It !!! I have been in that situation the cure was just exchange that unit for another one. Sometimes you just have to eat it.
