I am a senior executive of the Metropolitan AAMCO Dealers Association. We are greatly disappointed to learn of this 9 year old issue. In fact, the location in question serves 40 customers per week - over 16,000 customers since this issue happened in 2003. While it is always difficult to achieve a 100% customer satisfaction rate especially in the automotive repair business, we are proud to know that 96% of this centers customers are satisfied and when asked, would and do recommend their friends and family.
This customers lifetime warranty is honored at over 800 AAMCO Total Car Care Centers throught the United States and Canada and while we only use the highest quality parts and provide our technicians with state of the art training, occasionally other factors can effect the operation of the vehicle. Factors like road conditions, the vehicle owners driving habits and ever weather conditions. This customer cited several issues which I would like an opportunity to address directly. I was finally reimbursed by the owner of AAMCO TRANSMISSIONS in New Brunswick, New Jersey after 3 months of phone calls to the corporate office and having to threaten him with a lawsuit... At least I finally received my money, but I still do not recommend further business with them to anyone.
