Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I'am being harrassed by this company every day and getting threatening phone calls in which they block their numbers. I had a stroke recently and I'm still recovering from it. And they even threatened my family and my friends. They also state that they have sent out numerous letters, when I got only one. I mean whatever happened to the phrase the customer is always right and then they wonder why company's go out of business. I get harrassing phone calls every hour and I have told them that I'm trying to get the money and that I got  a weak heart and they have told me that they dont care and they want the money and I even got threatened that I will be arrested if I dont comply. Someone has to put an end this rude and unconsiderate people immediately, before anything drastic happens like going out of busines.

I have bought from Aaron's once when I got a table and chairs from them. I always paid on time and was happy with them. Yes, I could have gotten the set for way less had I had the cash to buy it somewhere else, but I didn't so the convenience of no credit check and small payments made it worth it. If I couldn't pay, I would have given the set back. I don't know why you didn't just give back your merchandise. You can't get something for nothing. If you can't pay, give it back.

Let me say before I write my rebuttal that I always check rip off report before I get a job somewhere...It gives me an idea of what I will face (since my jobs involve customer service), and whether or not I may be happy there.  Aaron's has a lot of rip off reports, but mostly for situations that involve the repo of someone's merchandise.

Now, as far as the harrassment goes...MY GOD, Aaron's does engage in harrassing techiques.  They will call you all the way up until 11:00 P.M., if they stay late to finish their job.  They will call your contacts and tell them everything they know, including how much you owe.  They have a bottom line, and have to meet their daily requirements set by the compnay itself.  You can bet that no customer will stand in their way of maintaining income for their household.  They always think it'll be a matter of their word against the customer's for which they assume no one is ever going to be prepared or persistent enough to record/document the harrassment.

I have seen them call people five times in a day THE DAY their payment is due just to remind them the payment is due.  My manager will literally cuss some of our customers out, and then hang up the phone like it didn't just happen....HELL, I have gotten cursed out for not doing all he wanted me to do....MANY, MANY times in a day.

Aaron's won't just repo your belongings, and the company's policies are ACTUALLY great...It's just depends on who's running the store, and what that person is pushing the Accts. people to do.  All anyone ever has to do is record a conversation, document the problems in a notebook, and call Neil...That's our regional manager....And Neil is not about to risk not one customer over simple complaints when it isn't policy to do what she said was done to her...He definitely doesn't have a problem with demoting/firing a store manager/employee over illegal business practices.  If you're not located in Central Florida, call the corporate office & have in tow proof that the store is causing you grief.  More than likely, they will be sure it's resolved in a day or two.

Keep in mind that Aaron's is a company that works on communication.  If you are going to be behind on your payments, no matter how many times, call and talk with someone...Get and keep everything in writing that way you'll have the upper hand in the situation.  Aaron's is a really good company to work with if you don't have the cash you need to buy the items outright.  As is, they do have the lowest prices than any other competitor, will meet/beat the others, or give you $100 if they can't.  Don't terminate your relationship with Aaron's over a store manager's decision to allow abusive pratices...Aaron's won't tolerate the loss, and neither should you!!

Just Pay Your Bills

#4Consumer Suggestion

If you pay your bills on time, then creditors will leave you alone.  Every Tom, d**k and Harry has a sob story of why they can't pay thier bills.  Call you electric company and tell them you can't pay your bills.  What do they do, they shut off your power.  Sometimes life happens, but that doesn't mean you don't have to pay your bills.  GROW UP!!!!  It's called being an adult.  Stop your stupid excuses and be that thing call responsible.  And the customer is not always right, the companies that live by that motto are the ones filling bankruptcy or shutting up shop.  Sometimes (most of the time) the customer is wrong and just looking for something free.  As far as your letters, why is it thier responsbility to remind you to pay your bills?  One letter is too much, which I would guess isn't the case.  More than likely you recieved at least two.  One when your bill was due and one other that you admitted to receiving.  Act your age!!!!!
