My wife had a deer hit the front /side of her car on approx 11/3/16. Our Insurance (Farm Bureau) said they were a preferred vendor. It was ok with me I just wanted it fixed. I stopped in to look at my new car and it appeared the deer tried to jump over and smashed the windshield and broke through the drivers side door. Abra had the side window mostly covered and it appears glass expoded into the car. The leather steering whell, dash and even the navigation system was damaged. The rep said all the glass would have to be cleaned up inside to determine the true extent of the damage, he said it might even be a complete loss. First they said it was totalled and then the Insurance co said it could be repaired. This was ok with me as long as all the parts were fixed. I stopped by 3 weeks later to get the garage door opener and the shop siad it was at the Kia dealer getting the navagation system out so they could send it out for repair. I drove to the dealer and spotted the car, it was open and I went to get the opener out and seen the dash was torn out and water drops were all over the electronics that were under the dash. It was outside and the day before (Thanksgiving) we had a 1/2" of rain. I went into service dept and they said Abra was supposed to get the car the Tuesday or Wed. before Thanksgiving. I complained and they would never return calls, I even wrote to their Headquarters and still heard nothing. I sent them a letter stating that I would take the car if they warrented the electrical parts under the dash for 36 months. I also stated that if we have 2 breakdowns from electronic failure under the dash on 2 different ocassions that they replace car with a new one during that time. There are many electronics under the dash, my car was new (2016). They made a mistake,we got the car back(they ended up taking a extra 2 weeks because they never check everything that was damaged in front includung all plastic and even the seat. They did a good job replacing all the parts, I just want to insure I have no problems that I have to deal with because of their neglect.
