In May I sent 197 cellphones to Absolute Recycling. I called to check on my order with my Rep Ellen Green. They had not processed the order. It was getting close to the turnaround time I had experienced under the previous management. On May 20, 2014 I called and Michelle Resser identified herself as the office manager and stated that Ellen was no longer working for the company. She promised to check into my shipment and call me back after it was processed. Instead of a phone call I received an email with a quote of $302.06 for a order that should have been around $1,500.00 based on what was quoted previously.  

Upset by the deception i replied to the email from Ms Resser demanding the return of my goods. I gave 2 options return my goods or i would let the rest of the industry and the world know what kind of fraud they are. True to my word i am writing this report. So i gave them until the next day to show proof that my goods were being returned. The next day I was sent a confirmation email and a picture of the package weight. The package weight was 53.55 pounds. My original shipment was 62 pounds. I immediately emailed Michelle to tell her about the difference. My email response is copied "There was 62 lbs in my box. Is there something missing? I have a roster and will check upon delivery." Her reply"There is nothing missing and we have included a list of the phones as well."

The package arrived and I waited a few days to open it. I was sure that they would just return to me what was mine. I opened the package and on top was some of the phones that I sent. But that was what was on the surface. I could immediately see the majority of the cellphones in the box were more than 7-10 years ago. They included models like LG 3200, 3300, 6100, and motorola razr v3. I have been in the cellphone industry for more than 15 years and to try to pull off this kind of deception takes real nerve.

I contacted Ellen from a previous cellphone to get the number for the owner. She provided me with his number and I called and let him know the circumstances. This was a Friday Afternoon. I gave him until Monday to afternoon to make this right. On Monday, I sent a reminder to Michelle and Roger detailing my intention to let the world know. Shortly after I received a proposal from Roger. The propsal was that I send them back the trash they sent me and give them a chance to pay me based on new numbers a little more than $1,000.00. I don't trust anything that was said. I don't trust that a company that lies routinely will make due on any promises or agreements. They have my phones and have not offered to pay for what they have without me returning the junk they sent to me along with the good phones that I had in my shipment. I will continue my campaign to let people know what this company is all about until I get my phones back or due compensation.

I will be forwarding this information to the authorities for prosecution. I have reached out to the Sherriff's dept, and the Ocala police department. I'm waiting on their fraud departments to contact me. I will be sending a copy of this to BBB in Ocala and all my cellphone industry contacts to shut down and hopefully criminally apprehend these criminals.

Absolute Recycle has been in business for more than 20 years and value and learn from every and all customer feedback. The situation described is very disturbing and deserves immediate action and attention. Very little of the reported accusations are in fact accurate. I truly wish there was some additional information that could be evaluated to further resolve the reported situation, but none has been provided by the complaintant to date. Additionally, the customer mentioned having specific documentation to back up his claim. I asked the customer to please provide me with copies of said documentation, to which he replied he was "too busy to provide any list". 

All attempts to rectify the situation as described have been treated by the complaintant with total disregard in respect to actual fact finding, details etc. The situation is further aggravated by having the reported commitments been made by a former employee. Further attempts to investigate what might have been communicated or otherwise committed on behalf of our company by the former employee have been ignored or otherwise overlooked by the complaintant. In review of the situation, we followed current company policy and immediately reviewed all documentaion, electronic correspondence, verified accuracy of our documentation, even returned customer product (at our expense) and attemped to satisfy the customer in every avenue available to us at this time. In fact, now that the product is back in the original customer's hands, there is little other satisfaction or corrective action that we can offer.
