Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
My Husband and I worked for the Haskell's for 6 mos, During that time we designed business cards, advertised the Access Denied Security on our cars(and were promised $50. a mo for each advertising and never saw a dime for it) worked countless hours in the office doing check collections for a huge gas company in SD, sold ADT(I wasnt paid only $38.38 for 5 sales, they used the lie that I embezzeled things and $$$ from the company) Its funny how their last three assistants embezzeled from them. Good lie not to pay people HUH!

Keith and Kathleen never paid their client a dime for all of the check collections(myself and my husband collected well over $2,000) and we only saw 600.00 of our take and one of the checks written($250.) out to us bounces with EZ check cashing in Sioux Falls and we now owe them $280.00!!!

These people make a living praying on trusting, hard working people just to live the high life in their pathitic minds.

I know of at least 6 other businesses other than Howes Oil in SF have been burned for thousands of dollars, I know because I was the devil himself assistant.

I hope that anyone reading this takes this warning to heart!!!! Do not even go near these people or do business with them, or like so many others from Minneapolis to Sioux Falss have been!!

Don't think I am telling the truth....contact the BBB of both states, as well as the Anoka County PD and Minnehaha PD.

they know who I am

Keith also ran Pro Wrestling shows under the name Keith Douglas and World Television Wrestling in the late 90's. Several times he took the cashbox and climbed through a window to avoid paying the boys including myself. Then when I called him onto the carpet for it, he proceeded to post my real name, address, phone number on his website. I've talked to a few music groups whom he's done the same things to as well. The sad thing is, I chalked all of this up to a guy doing desperate things to feed his family. Now I see the true picture, a guy who will do anything to rip someone off. My wife and I considered Keith and Kathleen friends, but now see that it was all a lie.

Its never your fault is it Keith? Employee after employee, state after state, it is always the same story. So she "embezzled" from you huh? Odd that the 2 office women you had when you did "buisness" here in Minnesota also "embezzled" which is why you said our paychecks bounced. Either you are really bad at screening office employees, or you're shifting blame (Here is a hint, the answer is #2) And if the woman from South Dakota is so bad, why is it you, Keith, who has been sitting in jail for the last month or so? Let me guess, the "embezzlers" framed you? By the way Keith, you should put down a contact e-mail here, I'm sure Bob King and his lawyers would like to have a chat with you, as would the agency attempting to collect the money you owe me, as I'm sure would the agencys trying to collect for the other employees you screwed. I'm sure an "honest buisnessman" such as yourself will do the right thing.

Although Mrs. Whitting and I have suposedly made amends, I feel it only fair to my family that I FINALLY respond, although I was unaware of your site until this past month. TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE the part about Mrs. Whitting not being paid for the vehicle advertising is in fact true! At least one of the cars was down with brake and transmission troubles and was not on the road much at all. Secondly, it was under CONSTANT THREAT of Repossession. The second was often parked behind her husbands other job. While I did make the agreement to pay this fee - I certainally wasent getting any advertising value. SECONDLY, to state that the Whittiings received $ 600.00 out of over 2K collected is not entirely accurate. IN FACT, Mrs. Whitting was terminated not only by us, but also by the owner of the ADT Authorized Dealership, in writting, after we verified that she collected an account IN CASH (Against Policy) and took the money and paid her landlord for rent. Additionally, she didn't report this to us, we discovered it on our own! We terminated rather than prosecuted. At the time of her termination, it was also brought to her attention that a $ 500.00 palm pilot which she was to send in for repair (after all-she was our "assistant", never made it to the factory. She made repeated claims to have shipped it via FED X from a Sioux Falls Fed-X contracted Retail Store. We put that store manager through quite a rigerous research (it was around Christmas-very busy) to track the product and PROVED it was never shipped from their facility. ADDITIONALLY - the repair center never received it! the amount of the item was in fact witheld from her final paycheck, as discussed on a three way conversation via telephone. In the Spring, I received a cal from a homeowner in Sioux Falls right near a home they used to rent. the homeowners 10 year old son found the package thrown way into tall grass and a grove of trees in their yard, totally ruiened from the snow and melting snow and rains of springtime. Interestingly enough-the homeowner described a man that had been searching in the ditch previously that matches Mrs. Whitings husband to a "T". Hmmmmm. I do not beleive the Whittings are owed one thin dime from us, and they have never told us that they felt any different. Mr. Whitting in fact signed a release that he had been paid in full. Of course they don't mention some other Employmetn issues like write ups, warning, etc. but trust me - they were there! UNFORTUNATELY, her recollection that we lived the high life is quite incorrect as well. We are very basic people that did our best to grow a small business. We failed - no denial there! No matter what position an employee is in, they always feel the grass is greener on the other side, and they don't know or calculate all of the expenses and costs of running a business. Like I said, I beleive we have made our amends and I wish them no ill will or harm, only blessings. Life is too short for anything more.

What you need to do is report her part in the rip off to the state licensing agency. She would have had to have had some sort of license in that business, Mom and Pop or not. There should be some record somewhere even if it is just in the Secretary' of State's offices in the states where they operated security companies. He will be inelgible to open a security company with an arrest record. Report HER and emphasize her relationship to HIM. Send copies of your documentation by Fax or by mail to the proper state licensing agency. I am sure you can find a copy of their marriage license, etc. Maybe even online. THEY APPARENTLY ARE NOT RUNNING AN HONEST BUSINESS AND NEED TO BE PREVENTED FROM EVER OPERATING ANOTHER ONE!

Keith has been turned in a few years back after all this came to light, and yet he was able open up shop in SD. However since they chased him back to MN, he is/was trying to open up shop under other's good names as well as his wife Kathleen. Being that Keith is presentley in the Dakota County Jail, and his court date is soon, I don't think he will be out any time soon to hurt any more people. Kathleen on the other hand..

TURN THESE PEOPLE IN TO THE STATE LICENSING AGENCY

#9Consumer Suggestion

Sat, April 07, 2007

If you don't file a complaint against these people with the State agnecy that licenses private security companies in the state where you worked for them and then make SURE that the state where they want to open up a new shop KNOWS about it, it is YOUR fault. Since you have first-hand knowledge of their dishonest practices and presumably have evidence to PROVE it, in case you are asked to document your statements, it is up to YOU to STOP THE ABUSE,LIES, INTIMIDATION, CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES! If asked for documentation, just send the Xerox copies to the appropiate agency. I guess you got into private security because you wanted to do the right thing and you were honest. NOW IS YOUR CHANCE TO DO THE RIGHT THING AND PUT THESE PEOPLE OUT OF BUSINESS -- OR POSSIBLY PREVENT THEM FROM OPENING UP ANOHTER RIP OFF SO THATOTHER PEOPLE WON'T BE HURT LIKE YOU WERE HURT! Thank you! Someday I hope ALL private security company contractors are under FEDERAL control and owners who mess up will be enjoying a dog cage at Gitmo in Cuba!

#10UPDATE EX-employee responds

All I can say is, beware of these two people, especially in Minnesota as they now have another security company in the works here...and Kathleen has a few "on the side" jobs that actually allows her into people's homes..I was once a supervisor for Haskell and in 2004 two of my checks bounced right before Christmas, and we had to take all of my Daughter's wedding fund savings to pay house and car payments and other bills...I had to take out a loan to pay for her wedding and I am still paying that loan today, a constant reminder of what this snake did to us...I could fill a whole page here of all the wrong doing and lies and deception from these two people...I know of 3 companies here in MN that Haskell single handedly took down...He also has claimed to be certified EMT and a Firefighter and has worked in these fields..YIKES!! He claimed to be licensed and bonded all the while he employed us in security but he wasn't..he was a convicted felon (for check fraud) who can't even get a gun permit!! When the SD authorities contacted me last year to help track him down, my friends and I were more than happy and through our diligent surveillance and hard work he was arrested in Rosmount, MN last week, may he rot in jail!!

#11UPDATE EX-employee responds

I too was ripped off by Keith Haskell here in MN. Myself along with numerous other security that worked for him, not to mention the buisnesses he "collected" for and kept the money. My paychecks bounced on almost a weekly basis, he owes me about $2000.00, I took him to court, he didn't bother to show up so I won, but doubt I'll ever see the money. Due to the money trouble caused by this, we lost our house. If it makes you feel better, Keith was arrested last week here in MN for his crimes in SD. In his attempt to get away he maced several police officers and now has added charges. I think Mr. Haskell will be enjoying the comfort of a correctional facility for quite a while here in the future!

Mom and Pop Security Companies Are No Place to Work

#12Consumer Comment

Tue, September 26, 2006

I made the mistake of going to work for what turned out to be a two-bit Mom and Pop Security company called Alliance Security Forces. I got hurt on the job one night. When I tried to summon a supervisor to the scene to transport me to the hospical as per federal requirements, the cheap radio they gave me would not transmit. I had to crawl to the pay phone and leave a message on the ANSWERING MACHINE! And it was a Sunday night. I wasn't going to wait there all night so I tried to drive the rest of the post in my car. The pain was horrible but I was able to finish the shift and then I pulled it over on my way home and could not drive at all, my legs ahd swollen up so much. No health insurance and NO sick leave and NOT enough hours and the accounts they had were all that nobody else wanted. IF they had worker's compensation, I never got a dime of it! I DID get a PERMANENTLY DISABLED PARKING PERMIT, though! Somebody must have erased the tape because nobody got back with me until next pay day. For $8.00 an hour, I won't be able to do private security work AGAIN! Or anything else that requires stamina, agility, time on my feet without being able to sit down and catch my breath! IT IS NOT WORTH IT! If they had workman's compensation, I didn't know about it. The mom and the pop allegedly pulled guns on each other according to legal papers I saw later in the court house. They divorced and the company went to hell. The mom and pop that this company was sold to went out of business a year or so later and so everybody is out of work again. The message is clear. DO NOT GO TO WORK FOR A MOM AND POP SECURITY COMPANY! Unless you are a family member and don't have a choice.

File a wage claim!

#13Consumer Suggestion

Sat, March 25, 2006

Don't let them get away with it. File a wage claim with your labor office. As far as the advertising money goes, you should have gotten it in writing. Remember the customers of the company? Call each one of them and spill the beans on how they operate.
