Access Legal SCAM DEBT COLLECTING- UNFAIR DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICES Internet
This is a SCAM company calling themselves Access Legal. They obtain your information from 10 years ago and call with threats of legal action unless you pay them over the phone. They use the "last 4 of your social" to confirm you are who they are calling about which is information they should not even have and information you should not be confirming or giving over the phone unless you are on the phone with a company you know you do business with. As soon as I mentioned I never lived in lake county and there is no such thing as a "civil warrant" and that I have my credit constantly observed by TransUnion and this debt is not on my credit report, they hung up on me. I called back about 20 times and was hung up on as as soon as they answered. One psychotic girl did scream at me a bit however overall mostly was just hung up on. Finally I spoke with someone named "Marshall" obviously the most skilled at convincing people "they owe money and will suffer the fires of hell if they dont pay NOW" stayed on the phone long enough to 1) "build credibility" by explaining who the debt was possibly from.... the details about my whereabouts 10 years ago... 2) "create fear" by telling me all the legal reprecussions that could happen to me if I don't pay now 3) offer to "save the day" by giving me the option to "pay before legal action is taken" 4) Offer to transfer me to "remit my payment" to which of course i responded he could send all this to me in writing to my current address and I would be happy to pay. I suggest you do the same if you make the mistake of talking to these terrible people yourself. Some names to be aware of.... Moses, Clemens, Nichole, marshall...
