Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
On December 27th, 2001 I ordered an AMD Motherboard bundle that included a processor and 256 mb of Memory. Not long after building the computer, I started having problems with the computer locking up.

So I formatted and put on new operating system. Still the problem presisted in locking up. Because of so many reboots, I damaged my hard drive and had to have it replaced.

Because I have two other computers, I did not rush into returning and contacting AccessMicro because I dreaded the headache of trying to return the product but could never imagine it could ever turn out like this.

In July, I decided I had all I could take of the lock-ups and decided to seek help. I contracted the manufacturer of the motherboard "SOYO" and explained the problem by e-mail and have never heard from them 6 months later.

I contacted AccessMicro by e-mail and was told to contract technical support. I called after many tries, finally reached somone from technical support and was asked if this was, "a Fingerhut purchase", I explained that it was not, so he took my name and number and promised that someone would return my call immediately. I waited several hours and there was no call.

A week or so later, I called again...and again...and again...and finally, I explained my problem to a Richard Bash...he had me to take my computer apart and set different jumpers and go into Bios and change settings.....all of this while I told him that the processor was not properly seated to the board. I finally convinced him there was a problem and over the course of communication back and forth, was able to obtain an RMA number and mailed the board back October 4th, 2002.

As anyone knows... when one who has fills out an RMA number, you provide your name, address, telephone number, e-mail, etc.....

My first purchase from AccessMicro was December 4th, 1998, and had another purchase in May of '99 and July' 2000.

But I had purchased a scanner from McGlen, which is part of AccessMicro in December of '97. Having lived at my present address for three years and purchasing a total of 4 purchases at my address, where do you think they called? Correct....the one from McGlen in 1997, what dumbass people.

I finally called after several weeks from not hearing anything to check on my RMA and was told the problem etc....etc...etc...

The board was bad, they no longer sold the brand, just pick out something that I liked and pay the difference, which I did. So they removed from my checking account 152.00 on November 11, 2002 and what do you know......still no motherboard....I contacted a week or so later and was told that I had sent the wrong memory...I explained that the memory that I had was no good and to just charge me for another memory and I would gladly pay for it. ...they said NO,,,,I had to send back the memory.

So I sent back the memory. They received it December 11, 2002 and what do you still know.......no board, and now no memory.

So now they have, my memory 256 mb, that I had purchased from another company, the motherboard bundle that was 253.75 and an additional 152.00 that I had been charged and ten days later....still no motherboard!!!!!!!!

I keep getting different versions of the reason, WHY?, It would be we were out of different parts, so I told them to send me anything....surprise me....they have to have something to send...Just mail me any d**n board and I'll take it....Still no motherboard...no memory,....still I called a few days later and was told they had nobody to fix it.

On December the 20th, I decided to cut my loses and just try to get my memory and my 152.00 credited back to my checking account and let them keep the 253.75 that I had paid for the bundle of s**t. They told me that I could not do that....that maybe someone would be in next week and someone would fix me a board and mail it out....

What do you think by now????? Will they or Won't they???

I tried to talk to the supervisor on duty in customer service and she would not speak with me. I apologized to the lady I was speaking with and told her to tell the supervisor ##@#$@#$@#$.....and then some.

It is now December 24th, 2002 and I have heard nothing......

I have every intention to encourage anyone to steer clear of AccessMicro and their corporate companies that are affiliated with them, McGlen Internet Group, MMI, Northgate, Netway, Protech, and they sale their junk through Tiger Direct and Home Shopping Network.

read your rebuttal http://www.RipOffReport.com/view.asp?id=39096 You would make a good publicity agent for Iraq. I could give the correct information but why bother. Check out http://www.resellerratings.com/. Accessmicro's last 6 months ratings is 2.65 out of 10. Newegg.com is 9.79. I checked the last 15 comments at resellerratings.com on accessmicro.com and 13 were very dissatisfied. Are all these people making false claims too? And by the way I told you your memory was bad, I marked it and that was the same memory you sent back. You kept the good memory from another company. At least I know you have something that works now. And you recieved the memory on 12/11/02 at 11:03 am and I have the receipt to prove it. And yes my name is Larry E. Blackburn

The delays that had arisen were no doings of Accessmicro

Thu, March 27, 2003

Larry Blackburn purchased a motherboard combination 12/27/01. Which includes a motherboard, central processing unit, heat sink & fan and memory. A problem was reported and a return number was created, RM008903 on 9/25/02. Accessmicro received the motherboard and cpu 10/8/02. This was to have the items returned and have them repaired or replaced. If items are no longer carried by Accessmicro. We then send it back to the manufacture for replacement or credit towards another component. Larry Blackburn called 11/6/02 to request an upgrade for a motherboard, cpu and fan. Larry Blackburn returned some other companies memory 11/20/02. Upon giving Larry Blackburn information of Acessmicro needing the original memory that was purchased. He was verbally abusive with our representatives. One incident on 12/6/02 he hung up before additional information could be given to him. Larry Blackburn called Accessmicro 12/11/02 stating he has sent the original memory back to Accessmicro. Larry Blackburn said he did not have any information on sending it (method used or tracking number). Larry Blackburn said his girlfriend had that information. Larry Blackburn called back 12/17/02 with a us postal service tracking number. Accessmicro received the memory 12/18/02. The package did not have any return authorization number listed on it. So receiving department had trouble matching this item up with the previous items returned under RM008903. At which time was in the repair department. Upon verifying all items the upgraded parts ordered have been tested and is shipping back out to Larry Blackburn 12/26/02. Additional memory sent in will be returned as well. Order was actually shipped 12-31-02 under UPS tracking # 1Z90485E0352214421. Delivered 1/8/03 @ 6:03pm. Accessmicro believes we handled this matter in an appropiate fashion. The delays that had arisen were no doings of Accessmicro. Accessmicro tried to work in conjunction with Larry Blackburn to resolve this matter & believes Accessmicro has done this.
