Accounts Recovery Corporation Harrassing Phone Calls for over 8 months Victoria British Columbia
I recently relocated to Mission, BC from Alberta and I got a new phone number when I moved. Accounts Recovery Corporation has my phone number on file as belonging to someone else.
They call every day sometimes up to 10 times a day at all hours of the day asking for this person (name withheld for privacy reasons) if I answer the phone and try to explain that I am a new owner of this phone number, or to place me on there do not call list, or to quit phoning, the person on the other end starts claiming that the line is dying and he cant hear me. Otherwise he starts laughing asking for the person he believes has my phone number and calls me a liar. If I dont answer the phone Benoit will simply leave a message giving off the same old information about how it is imperative this person calls him back.
There is nothing that I can do to stop them from calling. I am shocked there are no laws in BC about these types of phone calls, this corporation has no ethics or morals. Since I work night shifts if I want to sleep in the morning I have to unplug the phone due to these harrassing phone calls, the end result is that sometimes I do end up missing what could have been an important phone call. That or I have an interrupted sleep with the phone ringing at every hour.
