Hello,

Im writing this letter today to tell how the Denver police department and Accurate Auto Towing stole my car from me.  This happened on a Thursday, A semi truck t-boned me and totaled my car. The Denver police department didn't show up for another 35 minutes. They told me that the car would be towed after the tow truck was already there. I didn't even get a chance to get my belongings and the officer assured me I would be able to get my belongings at another time.

Two days later I called the Accurate Auto Towing and they said that it would cost me $250 just to get my belongings out of MY car which now they tell me they own MY car. Then they said if I wait till tomorrow I have to pay $450. The guy named Don at the towing place hung up on me and cussed me out. I think that this place should be shut down. Don also informed me that he was not in the customer service business he was in the towing business.

Now that I'm scared that I wont be able to get my belongings I have to pay the bill for them stealing my car. This goes to show that the towing place and the police are in it together to make a buck off me or in this case make 250 bucks off me.

This is injustice and I shouldn't have to go through this. I was hit by a semi truck and they are lying about the situation. The officer didn't even take the report properly and not I have to deal with that also. So after this letter I will be writing a formal complaint to the Denver Police department about the officer. And I will also be contacting the 9news

It seems you are either over exaggerating your situation or are not telling the entire story.  If this story is even real to begin with.

If you were in fact T-Boned by a Semi-Truck where your car was totaled, unless you were driving a tank one would probably expect you to have at least some injuries.   So while very unlikely if in fact you didn't suffer any injuries you are very lucky.  Yet you didn't seem to mention anything about any injuries and seemed to be aware enough to know that it took the police 35 minutes to arrive.

If the car was obviously totaled you would have known it would have been needed to be towed, so why didn't you start to get your items out in the time before the police arrived?

Why did it take you 2 days to call the towing company?  If you were that concerned about your belongings why didn't you call them that day or even the next?

Then perhaps the most interesting comment is that you say they are lying about the situation.  So exactly what are they saying that is different than how you see it?
