I am a young newly, happily, married man who used to have an account with "Adult Friend Finder" when I was single.

I used to have a profile on there that listed what my intentions were, my age, stats etc. but i have not updated that at all in the past few years.

Recently my wife read my email and there was one from adult friend finder so she looked further and found a profile of me that gave very recently updated and valid info about where i live, what my marrital status is, what my age is.

I NEVER updated this and she thinks that I have been cheating on her based on the fact that my profile shows this updated info. I legititmetly have not used or updated this profile in years and now my marriage is in jeopardy.

Is there ANY way that adult friend finder could find this updated info and apply it to my profile without me knowing?

Please help for the sake of my marriage.

Remember how your wife found out. She read your e-mail and found an e-mail from adultfriendfinder. What was the subject of the e-mail and is there anything in the e-mail that could make her feel that you are still an "active" member. Did she already suspect something and that is why she read your e-mail, or was she reading your e-mail for something totally unrelated. If you haven't used it for years, there should be no recent credit card charges. If you never cancelled and have continued to be charged that is a big mistake on your part. Also, if this site has any sort of "communications", there should be no evidence that you have attempted any communications with anyone else on the site in years. Again if there is evidence that you have, you made another big mistake. As to the info being changed. The age being changed is automatic on most personal sites. If they have your birthdate they can always display your current age by calculating it without you doing a thing. Other items really can't be changed accuratly unless you notified them of the change, you did it yourself, or someone hacked your account and did it. Not to place doubt but is probably a valid question depending on how "happy" this marriage actually is. Could your wife have gotten into the account, changed this info, and then told you she found all of this?

Sorry for your troubles

I am sorry for your troubles, but I do believe that you probably gave them permission to use your image and information when you signed up. Also, if this story is true, I think a great many people (users) would be grateful to the site for taking the time updating the profiles so they can be a little more sure of whom they are dealing with. This post seems to be the opposite of alot of the dating/matchmaking posts. Isn't there some sort of member since, or somewhere in your own personal profile (like maybe where you can edit, or a last seen/active type thing? Also, do they only charge once? If it is a membership or subscription, did you not notice you were still being charged for membership? Also, are you not able to cancel a membership? And while there is a possibility that your post is true, I am sure plenty of married people use the site to meet people on the side ........ Can any users answer any of the questions here? If you think it's possible based on the answers to the many questions here, maybe he can show his wife, LOL.

NOW YOU LEARNED A HARD LESSON --NOT TO USE THOSE SOCIAL NETWORKING, FAKE DATING SERVICE, SWINGERS AND DATING SITES. BECAUSE THEY DON'T GO AWAY! My advice to you, young man, is to locate a copy of the bill or receipt from when you paid to first get emeshed with this foolishness so you can get the mortar and bricks mailing addr4 ess from the proprietor of that site and tell him or her or them in NO UNCERTAIN TERMS THAT THEY HAVE THREE BUSINESS DAYS TO TAKE THE SITE DOWN OR YOU WILL SUE THEM! TELL THEM YOU NO LONGER WANT TO BE ON THAT SITE ANYMORE BECAUSE YOU ARE MARRIED AND YOU HAVE FOUND JESUS OR WHATEVER...JUST THINK OF SOMETHING. LET YOUR WIFE READ THE LETTER AND THEN SEND IT TO THOSE PEOPLE BY HOWEVER YOU PEOPLE IN CANADA SENT CERTIFIED MAIL. IF THEY GET THE LETTER AND HAVE SIGNED FOR IT,CHECK BACK IN THREE DAYS ( BECAUSE THAT IS THE TIME A REASONABLE AND PRUDENT PERSON WOULD NEED TO REMOVE AN IMAGE FROM A WEB SITE), take your letter and your wife and go see an ATTORNEY. YOU NOW HAVE A GOOD CASED TOWARDS IDENTITY THEFT BECAUSE THEY ARE USING YOUR IMAGE AND PERSONAL INFORMATION WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION. A GOOD WARNING LETTER FROM THE ATTORNEY SHOULD STOP THIS AND IT IT DOESN'T, YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO GET SOME MONEYH. I HOPE THEY HAVE DEEP POCKETS THAT YOU CAN ACCESS DURING THE COURSE OF YOUR LAW SUIT. GOOD LUCK. I HOPED YOU LEARNED YOUR LESSON.
