Ok, here's the deal. I got an email on a Yahoo Groups mailing list saying something to the effect of come visit this site. I got bored, so I went over to it. Although the site wasn't the AdultActionCam site, it did redirect to that site.

Now, to view anything you have to sign up for a 'free' account. That gets you basically nowhere except to create a profile and do some browsing around. Funny thing, within 2 days I got my first hit on the site, an email from a girl asking me to chat. So, I tried to view the email message but couldn't, so I ended up paying the $35 to join the site, thinking that it might be a fun thing to play around with if nothing else.

Well, it only took me 2 days to decide that their site was a scam. I sent out a lot of messages to other users on the site to test things out, and only got back a few responses. Oddly enough, all were pretty much the same thing! All wanting me to go to some other site of theirs which was a 'personal site' and contained a pay-to-view adult pass thing. Yeah, I wasn't paying for that!

So, I called and cancelled my account. Although there's no way to get refunded for my only paid month, they did apparently drop the billing on my account so I no longer got charged. That was 2 months ago, and my profile on their site is still active as a paid user. Guess they never update their records on who has paid and who cancelled!

Also to confirm my theory, I added a bunch of 'local' users to my favorites list and kept a watch on them. They were all (20+ accounts) marked as active every day. Just to test, I did send some repeated emails to those users and never got a response from most. However from some, I got the EXACT same response asking me to go visit an outside site!

So here's my suggestion, stay away from that site...

Don't Go to Porn Sites - Save Your Money

#2Consumer Suggestion

Fri, December 02, 2005

Almost every site on the Internet that sells something and probably all of the porn sites are a Rip-Off. YOU SEEN ONE, YOU HAVE SEEN THEM ALL! While studying anatomy and physiology as part of my course requirements, I have to wonder at people who want to stare at the same old stuff. It doesn't make any sense to me and it is a horrific waste of money. You want to see naked people, get into the medical profession and you will see them alive and you will see them dead and injured in all sorts of ways. You will learn new respect and awe of the human body and of all the different things it is made of! Amazing! And I can't understand why anybody would want to waste time and money on porn anyway when you can see and hear all the porn you could ever want FOR FREE on the streets, in nightclubs and bars ( assuming you go there), on regular network TV and in the movies...In magazines, in tabloids... Besides, you might not want to have it on your hard drive that you visited a porn site. We have had several people DESTROYED because sordid, illegal pornographic images just "happened" to be found on their computer's hard drives. Just a suggestion. I am not a raunch merchant or a porn pusher, just a realist who is bored with idiots who can't respect the human body!
