Advance America Cash Advance Harrassing phone calls to my place of employment; threatening legal action Internet
I received several nasty messages from this gentleman named Eric Johnson. He told me that I needed to pay on a past due pay day loan that I had defaulted on. He told me that if I didn't pay $1300 in one week, I was going to be sued for a total of almost $7,000. I had no recollection of my defaulting on the loan, but I did recall applying for a payday loan at one point several years ago. I asked Mr. Johnson if I could call him back while I tried to figure out what was happening and going on. He gave me his phone number and told me that I had until 2 p.m. to call him back. Upon my return phone call, I asked for Mr. Johnson, but the person who answer said there is no one here by that name. Initially, I thought I had messed up, but then the gentleman came on the phone and explained that there was a "new" to the agency.
I scheduled a payment arrangement with Mr. Johnson because I was extremely nervous about having to go to court. However, after doing more research I have discovered that this is in fact a scam. When I called Mr. Johnson back a few days later, he told me that the legal department wanted to speak to my attorney. I provided him with the name of my attorney who has not been contacted by this person or agency.
To all consumers, please beware. This company uses people who speak broken english and it is very difficult to understand them. On one voicemail they left me, the message said "good luck and God bless."

I have been in contact with the same person mr eric johnson 6468459577 about a case filed aginst me for a loan, because i did not have enough information i went ahead and made moneypak payments to him. he had correct information on me and it sound on the up and up. however know i gave him another case file i recieved online by a vickie turner from paday cash and cash advance law case number e-9876252, cliaming i owed 940.00 to settle out oc court, mr. eric johnson said he would have his legal team look into the claim. know he saids i can settle said cliam for 790.00. he gave me a bar number as 711bbc but i can not get any information on this truth or false. anyway i told him i would call him back this thursday to cover this case. all seems know to be a scam and fraud. vickie gave me no contact information except for email at [email protected].
so i gues we are both scamed
