Advantage America, Government Grant Processing Deparment Watch out for this telephone scam! Ripoff Winterpark Florida Nationwide
Representative called and told me I was eligible for a government grant (I had not applied for ANY grant) simply because I was "a taxpayer with no criminal record". He stated his name as "Tom Rogers", but had a pronounced accent and the background noise definitely sounded like a boiler room/bucket shop atmosphere. "Tom Rogers" then proceeded to ask leading questions designed to get me to give him my bank account information. When I told him he didn't need that information, and since he already had my address, he could just mail the check. When I asked for his address and phone number, he gave the above address, but hung up before he got to the phone number.
Folks, this is an obvious scam previously reported here. They are at it again. Do not fall for it.
