Air Canada has got to be the most inconsiderate airline in America. Firtly customer service is non existant. Not only is average time for a human to pick up phone on average 25 minutes, the agent that answers is agent, judge and jury. Frustrated..send an email to customer service and allow 2 weeks for response. Awesome. Great when you deal with an immediate problem and flight.
My beef is simple. I receievd a change in itinerary from Air Canda changing my non stop flight between cities to one with a stop over. A 3 hour flight become 6.5 hours and making matters worse in my case is travelling with my elderly father of 92 years young. Nont good.
Not only was this a surprise as there is no weather delays or cancellations. The answr was the aircraft has to go in for maintenance. I am writing today Jan 27 and my flight is Feb4. So a week from now they have no extra aircraft. They gave me three choices.. fly three days earlier or three days later , or accept the new fliight or get a refund. No consideration I paid for hotel so leaving ealry is not a choice as well as cut our vacation. Three days later does not work as I need more money to stay as well as a job to go to. Refund leaves me where? Buy a one way with American Airlines and pay thru the nose?
It is shameful these impersonal corportaions hide behind clerks as when I asked the agent to speak to someone in a managerial role athat could make a difference and was told nada. The agent is my only choice. Want to beef..send an email!!
Dusgusting, dusgusting, dusgusting. They deserve to lose clients to a more socially driven company understanding that leaving bad tastes in peoples mouths is never a good thing. As a canadian myself.. the hell with AIR CANADA let them rot and go bankrupt as they have done so many times before.
