My name is Steven and I own and operate a small industrial chemicals company in San Diego, CA. In January 2018, I was in need of a few new salespeople so I put out an ad on Craigslist for help to recruit candidates. Alicia Marie Levin answered my ad and offered her services as a recruiter and I accepted.
Alicia Levin said she was working for Cintas as one of their recruiters but had time to take on my smaller assignment also. After talking about the type of candidates I was looking for and the job descriptions, I offered to pay her a $600 fee for every candidate that we ended up hiring that she brought to us. Alicia told me that she needed partial payment in advance before searching so I also agreed to and gave Alicia $1000 up front as a draw against the recruiting fees. We had agreed that the upfront money would have to be paid back if she did not provide me with at least one candidate that ended up being hired. Alicia accepted these terms and compensation in my office and promised to being finding candidates.
After two weeks came and went with only 3 candidates being sent to me, I began to ask pointed questions. How could this be taking so long to find qualified candidates for these simple entry-mid level positions, I wondered? I called Alicia and left a message on Feb 2, 2018. No answer. I sent her emails. Still no answer. I finally called from a blocked number the next week and she answered. When she realized it was me, she hung up the phone.
Needless to say, Alicia Marie Levin did not hold up her end of the deal. I continued to call and email over the course of 2 weeks with no success in getting in contact with her. I thought about showing up to her home or filing a lawsuit, but I felt that would be a bit much. I honestly cant believe why she would do this and rip me off. I was up front and honest with her about everything and even offered to pay her money in advance. She gave me her word as an adult that she would uphold her end of the bargain and lied.
Cintas, I hope you realize that Alicia is out there misrepresenting her services while working for you.
Business Owners and ethical people in general: please avoid this woman at all costs. She comes across great at first, but she is a very unethical person and a liar.
Hopefully I can save at least one person the headache that I went through with Alicia Levin.

In a Google Search, I came across this report filed against me. I am genuinely concerned that this business owner was been scammed. I never spoke with a Steven about a business deal or responded to a Craigslist ad or anything stated below.
Not only did I not speak with anyone about this, I never agreed to or received payment of any kind. This is why I'm concerned this business owner may have been scammed by someone posing as me, received payment, and I would like to get to the bottom of this.
If you could provide any proof of payment we could maybe then trace the source of who started this scam. It's also very scary that it states below this was agreed upon at an office. I am genuinely concerned for my safety if someone is posing as me online and in-person and I will absolutely pursue legal counsel if necessary.
If this is just an online hoax scam as someone posing as me then I am very sorry you were a victim to this. If someone is posting this as a disgruntled person that I have worked with in the past in any capacity, I would appreciate it if you would do the honorable thing and remove this as none of this is true.
This genuinely has me and my family concerned for our safety with such public false information.
