I recently received a call from Melonie Waldron employee # 91095 on April 8th, 2005 @ 6:45 pm. Her # that came up on my caller ID was 416-922-4760 Melonie stated that I won a free trip to Orlando, Daytona, Fort Lauderdale, and a cruise to the Bahamas.

She knew that I filled out a "Win a Free Vacation" form at a recent car show here in Buffalo, NY. How did they get my info? Was the booth giving away the vacation legit? Well I'm very wary about giving out my personal information. Being that this All Seasons Travel set up a booth in the Convention Center, I imagine it was legit.

Melonie went through the 10 minute speel. I asked if she could send me the information in the mail, that I wanted everything in writing. She said she cannot send me the information in the mail until she has my credit card information. Then I asked if I can have the direct phone # to contact her, she said she couldn't give that out.

I told her that I will not give out any credit card information until I see this "Free Vacation" in writing. She proceeded to talk over me, and I hung up.

I am not happy that this scam is going on. I will be contacting the Attorney General.

If All Seasons Travel claims, like I have read, that there are other companies DBA All Seasons Travel, I should hope the CEO is currently trying to protect its reputation.

Also to the people in other countries who have experienced the same scam as I have, quit stereotyping Americans, this scam is happening to all of us.

All Seasons Travel - heartless scammers

#2Consumer Comment

Mon, May 30, 2005

Just recently, I was contacted by All Seasons Travel, telling me I was chosen to receive this wonderful vacation package, by a ballot I filled out at a convention. The sales person went over the vacation package so fast that I couldn't even write it down. When I asked him to slow down, so I can jot down the highlights of the package, he said not to worry and that all that information will be given to me in the mail. He quickly added at the end that it will only cost me $698 USD, just a small promotion free due that day. I have never heard of anything about this in the past and the convention I attended was reputable, so I figure this couldn't be a scam. I gave him my visa and he Welcomed me a board. I had a bad feeling about it as soon as I hung up. So I called back to ask more questions. What do you know, the 1-800 # just kept ringing. Not even a voice mail. Now when I look back I can picture this guy working out of an old abandon warehouse. Also, during our conversation I remember his cell phone going off 2-3 times during our conversation; He would put me on hold every time I asked him a question about the company and the details of the promo fee; He did all the talking and wasn't concerned if I had any questions; The only time he asked me a question was if I give him authorization to charge my credit card. I mentioned to some friends about this vacation package, they all told me it was a scam. I started to look it up on the internet and found this forum. I immediately cancelled my credit card and called All Seasons Travel for a refund. Here's where they showed their TRUE colours. When I called for a refund I was almost harassed to give them a VALID reason for the refund. I said I wasn't going to travel and I didn't want the vacation package anymore. Daniel Mathews (sales agent) INSISTED I give him a better reason. In fact, he started to raise his voice telling me he will not give me a refund until I give him a better reason than I'm not going to travel. I couldn't believe the treatment. These people are only out there for your money. I asked MULTIPLE times Can I get a refund? Yes or No? He said Yes they do give refunds, ONLY if the reason is valid. Who are they to judge what valid or not? I can say I was dying and had only a week to live, would that be valid enough? Would they need doctor's note? They can't prove anything. I was so angry. I held my ground and told him since they give refunds, it's my right to get my money back. Finally, Daniel Mathews said he would give me my refund back because WE DON'T WANT YOU IN FLORIDA ANYWAY!! I was so shocked he actually said that. Daniel Mathews, of All Seasons Travel, had just emcompassed the whole company as disgustingly rude money grabbers. Whether or not All Seasons Travel is really a scam or not, their complete lack of professionalism and respect shows the tall tails of one. Even if this vacation package would have been a Wonderful vacation package at such a low cost, I would never give anyone business who treats people like garbage. I will make sure I will tell ALL my friends and families about my bad experience with All Seasons Travel and ask them to spread the warning One thing I can thank All Seasons Travel for is that it was a good lesson. And that their company is run by a bunch of jerks only trying to get their hands in your pockets. PS. I'm refering www.allseasonstravelandresorts.com [1140 Hammon Drive Suite A1110 - Atlanta GA Tel: 800-231-3760] (used to be www.aseasonstravel.com), not to be mistaken by other traveling agencies with similar names. PPS. If you are caught in this situtation, just remember, you ARE INTITLED TO A REFUND from All Seasons Travel. They might be rude and insist on you keeping the package or might even try to entice to you keep it by adding more to your vacation package. But, as far as I know, I got my refund and so should everyone else. (unless they changed their policy and have the nerve to just take your money and run...)

Clear up the banter

I sent a report to ALL Seasons but thought I should also respond here. I speak from experience as I did go on the famous trip to Florida. 1. We were unable for 6 weeks after providing the dollars to get any information from ALL SEASONS regarding where we were staying/processes/procedures etc. 2. We were told on numerous occasions outright lies such as "We are working on your specific file and will get all the info to you on Monday" and "Oh yes, you'll be staying on the beach around the Deerfield Resorts" and "Well your file is at the top of the list now, it will take us until Friday to piece it all together and then you will be advised immediately". This went on for 6 weeks. 3. Finally, we were told that the employee working on our file (I will leave out the name and number) no longer worked there. Interesting, the excuse changed to "I will review, oh yes there it is, we are still waiting on one more hotel confirmation. SHould have it by end of today". 4. After this we called every day, sometimes twice and were finally connected to another outfit called Take-A-Break travel. They informed us that they would begin (YES BEGIN!) to make arrangements. These people produced, although we were told the cruise to the Bahamas was NOT included in the price. 5. Now the rental was a sub compact. A vacation for four was advertised. How 4 people and their luggage fits in a sub compact is beyond me. The first Hotel in Orlando was old but OK. A 2.5 to 3 star in my estimation. Take-A-Break was there and made us sign a legal document indicating participation at a Time Share seminar next morning. We were told by All Seasons "You don't have to do the seminars because your from Canada." We went and enjoyed the full breakfast. They keep you 3+ hours not the 1 or 2 mentioned in most documents. 6. Next Fort Lauderdale, angry TimeShare sales people as we said NO to every verbal offer he made. "I give you tickets on the Jungle Queen". We said no thanks we already had them. "Yes but we have all the railing seats so cancel yours and take ours so you can see." No thanks. Oh, by the way there is some underlying connection between the hotel there and the so called Welcome Center as this salesman wandered about as if he owned the place. Sadly, he took it to heart that we didn't go as he refused to respond to even a friendly "good morning" when we say him. Sad... The hotel was old, beat up (drains didn't drain, sheets ripped) but at least no bugs! a 2 star maybe. 6. Now we get to Daytona. Well this place needs to be bulldozed and or completely rebuilt. We said no again to the Time share and the salesman there offered us 50 bucks to go! Imagine. Nice to FINALLY be on the beach but the hotel was bad (is there a one star rating?). Ceiling was falling to the floor in pieces - doors were cracked/dented/split as though someone was trying to break in (or out). Balcony was eroding (7th floor is not a place to have missing cement). The elevator was scarier than any theme park rides! Finally, in summation, from someone who did take the trip. There are lies from all parties, except Take A Break travel who were the only people NOT to lie and to help us. The money we paid was way more than what we got. The week in hotel rooms cost 800 dollars while our second week, booked by ourselves only cost 500 and our hotels were excellent (see Hampton Inn Tampa north!!). Sadly there were many others being taken in by this and other timeshare scoundrels. We met and observed many in our first week from all around the world. It seems to me that sales would be much better if all the lies disappeared and everyone was upfront right at the start. In fact I mentioned this to the salesman in Orlando and his response "Yes, your right. I am going to look into that right away!". Was this another lie?

I'm not going to debate back and forth with you

It's a waste of my time to debate about this subject with you. Firstly, I have a career and this is a second job to earn extra money. Your banter of belittling me and the company is a complete waste of time. The company and it's offer is not a bad deal considering I too, know someone who has taken the said trip and had no complaints other than the time share presentation. But all in all, bottom line is, I do not have time to sit and debate this with you or the consumer. All I will do from now on is sit back and laugh at all these nonsense comments.

Response to Jennifer's endless blablabla's

LOL you keep telling yourself that Jennifer, you obviously live in a bubble and are not educated enough to attain a real job which requires a real mind, not some shameless, hearltess and especially clueless individual. For the record, the first week I worked at BTS/All Seasons I was the #1 salesperson of all 35 "Promotions Directors" (What a joke) I continued to make 7-8 sales a week, so I highly doubt they would 'dismiss' the person who was making them the most sales!! You can confirm this with any of them if you wish...I unlike you did not try to cover my identity. Oh and PLEASE do not undermine my intelligence by telling me that I have 'misunderstood' the ins and outs of the business, I am not an idiot! It doesnt take a friggin genious to know what really goes on there, they try to fool everyone into believing they are legit...Who are they kidding??? Oh and now for the REAL kicker!! While at my REAL job today, I noticed some incoming faxes. Among the usual junk lay a fax which read "Want a vacation? How about a trip to Florida PLUS a 2 day 2 night cruise PLUS a free bonus vacation to Puerto Vallarta? All for the low price of $349 per person!" But Jennifer, I thought you said only 2-3% were chosen DEMOGRAPHICALLY!! If that is the case, why on earth are they sending mass junk faxes to random companies?!! And how come you didnt address anything else I had mentioned? Because you know I'm right of course, you are simply lying to yourself because you like the easy money and the fact that you dont have to use your head. Oh by the way, my boyfriend's family took this trip since he mistakenely fell for it as well, and they said it was the worst vacation they have ever taken, if you can even call it that. The hotels were not 'first class', they were broken down, dirty motel type places. As well, the time-sharing BS was a two hour drive away, and they were forced to sit through it not for 90 minutes, but for THREE hours!!! The salespeople were so incredibly pushy, they insulted my boyfriend's family because they did not want to buy a timeshare!! It was also a really bad area, very dirty and far away from any of the sites. So dont feed me your blablabla's about how its such a good deal, we know first-hand, for MANY reasons, that it just isnt. My advice to you Jennifer? Wake up and smell the cheap hotel stench and do something productive with your life.

One more thing.. the odd person

I forgot to include that YES, the odd person may win the actual vacation at the trade show, they have the draws at the show for ONE person to win the vacation absolutely free, but the others who did not win, have the opportunity to take the vacation at the discounted price instead of paying retail..

To further update... verification is NOT downstairs, it is in Atlanta where All Season's corporate office is located.

First of all to address "Monica"... I am glad you found it entertaining to work there as it is a fun environment. Although, if you have only worked there 2 weeks, I can surely point out that you do not know the in's and out's of the business. Firstly, verification is NOT downstairs, it is in Atlanta where All Season's corporate office is located. If you have ever transferred a call to Melvin or Richard, you will know that they are American accents out of Atlanta. Secondly ~ I would like to state that the consumer who filled out the registration forms at the trade shows are NOT reading the back of the forms, I brought one home just to inform you all as to what the terms and conditions say. "Anyone who meets our marketing demographics may be contacted and given the opportunity to purchase vacation packages in Florida, Bahamas, and/or other destinations. The participating show and show promoters are not affilitated with this contest/draw or PROMOTION" (in this case). It also includes how there is a time share presentation and how meals, gratuities, hotel taxes are not included. Right at the bottom of the form it states forms may be used for travel offering so I am confused on how you the consumer keep stating it is a free vacation. The sole purpose of the trip is that the sponsers prebook a block of hotel rooms and cabins on the cruise ship and select individuals to travel to fill those spots rather than pay retail price for the said vacation. For someone who had only worked for the company a short time can misunderstand the way the company works. I am sure you were not making sales and were dismissed from the company, therefore felt the need to lash out. As for the consumer, I understand how you may feel the need to lash out as well, thinking that this is a free vacation, again, if you go back to the trade shows and CLEARLY read the back of the form, you will understand what you are signing yourself up for.

SOME INSIDE INFO FROM AN EX-EMPLOYEE, THEY NOT ONLY SCAM CONSUMERS, THEY SCAM THEIR EMPLOYEES TOO!!

WOW is all I can say right now, when reading "Jeniffer's" Defence to this ridiculous scam. Jeniffer, which I am sure isnt your real name, you should be ashamed of yourself. How do you sleep at night, knowing you are lying to people countless times per night, between the hours of 5:30 and 10:30pm in that stuffy little cult room on Yonge and Bloor? Have you REALLY been working there for 2 years, because if so, oh how I PITTY you for not having the dignity to quit. Yes, I worked there for all of two weeks, to make some money while I was out looking for a REAL job. Is it fun listening to Tony, Aslam, Jose and Tom hammer on about how this is "THEIR" vacation, why wouldnt they want to go? "Look at the bonuses guys, you can make some REAL money tonight!! Find me another job where you can make this kind of money (Lying to people)" Oh yes, and do you enjoy the way they BLAST their music the entire shift, playing the same songs day after day, trying to brainwash you?? Oh but the best, and I mean best part of it all is that they have the NERVE to tell you that your orders have cancelled, and that they have to take off $300 off your paycheque, when in reality, these people never cancelled! And the funniest is the fact that "verifaction" which they tell you is in Atlanta, is really located DOWNSTAIRS in the same building!! Ah yes, All Seasons Travel (Which is actually BTS in Toronto by the by) is a fabulous, legit place to work indeed! No wonder the turnover rate is sooo high! There are innocent new trainees every single day!!! Ok so now for the scam: See, BTS and All Seasons Travel like people to think that only 2.5-3% of the applicants are chosen....So then why did I call sooo many people whose only information was name and sex??? And why is it that so many people I called informed me that we have already called their sister, their aunt, their cousin's best friend, and their husband's 4th grade teacher and that THEY will not fall for it?? They tell you its not free you say? Really? Why is it that when I went to one of these tradeshows with the All Seasons Booth, they told me "Hey! Fill in a form and win a FREE trip!!" Funny how that happens huh? And c'mon, what reputable company would call you, refuse to give you ANY information whatsoever in writing, and refuse to call you back or give you time to think? The 'managers' at BTS say its because then we cant offer that same 'great deal' but in REALITY, they are scared that these poor people will have a chance to google All Seasons Travel or look at these reviews online, and see what kind of a SCAM this really is before giving their credit card info!!! I can go ON AND ON about this, dont let this Jennifer character read you lines directly off of the All Seasons Script that make no sense, because this is the biggest scam around these days, not only for the people buying the vacations but also for the people working there. I feel awful for the people I booked vacations for, for a little while there I was brainwashed myself. Cheers!

I repeat...All Seasons Travel is a RIPOFF

#9Author of original report

Fri, April 15, 2005

I have been reading the endless postings on here in regards to All Seasons Travel. I'm not sure why there are only a handful of "Customer Service Representatives" from AST defending the company and not the executives themselves. To Jennifer: I consider myself an educated consumer. I DID read the fine print on the back of the form that I filled out to win a FREE trip. I even spoke to the man who was running the booth. If you provide me a fax # I'll be glad to fax a copy of the fine print to you. I hung up on Melanie from AST when she asked for a credit card, so AST never got money from me. However, AST uses deceptive marketing schemes to lure people in. AST dances on the fine line between what is legal and what is illegal, and they know it! We are educated people that are getting taken for a ride. If All Seasons Travel truly cared about their customers they would stop using this type of marketing and use another route to advertise their business. By the looks of it, this deceptive practice has been going on for quite a while. We, the consumers file a complaint and the employees of AST defend the company. It's a cycle that keeps repeating. Meanwhile as we type here, more people are getting duped over the phone. I sent my papers in to the New York State Attorney General and am eagerly waiting for a reply. I won't be stopping there either. Again what is the CEO doing about this? All I see is the lower part of the company defending AST. Shame on All Seasons Travel.
