The customer contacted all tune and lube because their car would not start. When the customer called they asked if all tune and lube had free pick up and delivery. They were informed that All Tune and Lube routinely gave customer's rides home or to work while their vehicle was being worked on. The customer asked if All Tune and Lube had free towing and we informed them that we did not have free towing. Customer asked how much tow was to the shop and All Tune and Lube quoted $65.00, customer asked to have the vehicle towed and All Tune and Lube gave the customer the phone number to the tow company explaining that the customer could pay the driver for the tow or that the customer could pay All Tune and Lube for the tow once the repairs were completed. The customer asked to have the tow bill added to the repair bill and All Tune and Lube asked for the last four digits of the customer's social security number to authorize the $65.00 bill on the tow and to start diagnosing the vehicle when it arrived by tow truck after the customer called the tow company to have the vehicle delivered to All Tune and Lube. The customer had the vehicle towed to All Tune and Lube and the vehicle was diagnosed. The customer was called with the estimate and authorized the repair. All Tune and Lube asked the customer for the date of their birthday because the transaction was being done by phone. The customer gave All Tune and Lube the birthdate and asked when they could pick up the car. All Tune and Lube asked if the customer needed a ride to the shop, the customer said yes, All Tune and Lube picked the customer up and delivered them to the shop. When the customer got to All Tune and Lube the customer made a big scene saying that they did not authorize any repairs or towing. When confronted the customer agreed that the customer had called the tow truck, not All Tune and Lube and that the customer authorized the tow bill to be added to the invoice by providing the last four digits of their social security number and that All Tune and Lube had called the customer with a full estimate before proceeding with repairs and that the repairs were authorized by giving All Tune and Lube their birthdate. The customer was also given a ride to pick up the vehicle. The customer paid the bill in full and left.
