We are renting an apartment in the UT Austin area and on 7/17/2017 we go to the Allconnect website to review Internet plans for the area.  We find a plan we like and as noted on the website we called to set up service.  We go through their whole LENGTHY process which is purportedly recorded and sign up for their Spectrum Internet University Area plan at $29.99 a month plus install of $49.99.  They run credit, we pay first month and install fee with a credit card.3 hours later we get an email informing us that there is a problem and the order is on hold.  We call them as requested and speak to Michael who now say the plan is $39.99 a month - not $29.99 as quoted and confirmed. We explained that the previous sales person verified the plan, service, rate and that the call was supposedly recorded and request him to go listen to the recording.  We also point out that their website clearly shows the plan/price and still does, as we are speaking we ask him to go online to their website and verify.  He says he does not have Internet access (curious, not even to his company website). We ask him if he or a coworker have smart phones (this is 2017 after all).  At that point it becomes clear that he knows that what we are stating is fact but he seems to lack the integrity to acknowledge the obvious.  I point out that the order confirmation even say "University Area Plan" - the same as the website.  He keeps pushing for us to accept the new rate - we inform him that what he is doing is considered fraud and a typical hard sell "Bait and Switch" tactic.  We verify his information, that the calls are definitely recorded, admonish him not to delete the recordings (remember Nixon), explain that we will not proceed with the new rate and canceled the order. After ending the call we did screen prints of their website showing the rate plan and saved the various emails. I also invite people to look at the responses from the company - they always placate but never admit that they scammed the person or offer to refund the money.  An attorney really needs to start a class action lawsuit against this company.  We have the screen prints and email evidence to prove our claims! Now for you doubters out there - If you read this and still use Allconnect then you get what you deserve - so no coming back her to post a complaint.
