Here is the letter i sent to Allstate regarding what happened when my Fiance and 10 month old baby took the car to Allstate Atlantic Central MCO for the estimate.

This is regarding the incident that happened when she went into the Allstate office to have the Infiniti M35 inspected by Kevin Snyder at the Boynton Beach location.

She pulled up at 4:20pm on 06/09/2009 and showed Mr. Snyder all the parts he had to look at, including but not limited to the hood and clips for the hood. He insisted we did not need a new hood. Her and the baby went inside to cool down from the Florida heat and when she saw him not looking at the parts she mentioned, she asked him to look it over again. She had to go outside several times because he was not listening to her specific parts that where damaged during the accident. She new what needed to be replaced because before she brought the car to Mr. Snyder another body shop gave her an estimate. Mr Snyder indignantly informed her that he was not going to give her a quarter of the amount that the other body shop estimated. To make matters worse, he was unfamiliar with this particular car especially when he didn't know that the M35 comes stock with HID's. He was in such a hurry, and so unfamiliar with this model car, he did not even add all the replacement parts to the estimate. He completely ignored what she had said. Specifically, he told her that there was no need for a new hood and sent me on my way, thinking she was a young woman unfamiliar with cars, he did not explain anything to her. Mr Snyder had an attitude with her from the moment he was her. When he was finally done with everything, he came inside the office and had her sign the papers. Mr Snyder did not check to see if the hood was securely fastened down.

As she was driving home, the hood of the car flew up into the air while she was going about 45 mph. She was so scared thinking that the hood was going to fly completely off the car and damage the car more and possibly someone behind her. She slammed on the braked and pulled over to the side of the road. She closed the hood again, before she reached 1/2 mile the hood flew open again while she was driving only 20 mph trying to drive slow enough so the hood wouldn't fly open again and have anything more happen. She pulled into the first gas station she saw and a man helped her secure the hood with a bungy cord. She just wanted to make it home safe with our baby. She could of been in an accident because of the hood flying up and blocking her view. Its really blows my mind that a mechanic that works for Allstate Insurance would allow a woman and a baby to drive with the hood not secure and safe. Her and our baby could of been seriously injured or even killed. She drove the rest of the way home terrified.

She had never experienced anything like this before. She had a severe anxiety attack and could barely even drive. When she got home I pulled the hood latch back far enough so the hood would lock on the locking mechanism. I had no problem securing the hood with alittle effort. Mr Snyder obviously was in a hurry and did not even check and see if the hood was securely locked down after she had told him several times that the hood had problems. I called Mr Snyder and he tried to tell me he checked the hood and showed my fiance that everthing was ok and that the hood was secure. She did not even see the car all Mr Snyder did was go into the office and have her sign the estimate. He refused to replace the hood, rear bumper and front bumper that the other body shop had in their estimate. All of these parts are damaged and could not be fixed, they needed to be replaced. All the latches and clips where broken and unrepairable which more than one body shop stated. Because of Mr Snyder we did not get enough money to repair the car properly.

I believe Mr Snyder's actions where unconsciounable completely irresponsible, even after she insisted there was a problem with the hood' he could care less and denied replacing parts that can't be fixed. He lied to her and told me everything was ok. He has a story flipped and did not show her anything or did not make sure the car was safe to drive.

Now my fiance has severe anxiety attacks everytime she drives. She things the hood is going to fly up and hurt her or some else. She now has panic attacks everytime she gets into a vehicle.

Mr Snyder refused to put in the estimate the things the car really needed and this proves he waid we did not need a hood and look at what happened to her when she left Mr Snyders Allstate Shop.

My fiance is now seeing a Doctor because of how dramatic this situation caused her to not feel safe anymore when she is in a vehicle. She hasn't felt herself since the incident of the hood flying open and how rude and such a rush Mr Snyder was in to get rid of her and the estimate.

I can't believe a company like Allstate who we are suppose to be in good hands handled my family and car. I really wish Mr Snyder could be held accountable for his actions and Allstate would do something to fix this whole issue.  My fiance hasn't been herself since this day and has really burdend us and our relationship.

Allstate Estimate for accident damage to Infiniti M35

#2Consumer Suggestion

Sun, November 29, 2009

First of all, if your car was backed into in the front, then how did your rear bumper also get damaged? (Trying your hand at a little Insurance Fraud, eh?) Secondly, any repair estimate can be modified at a later point depending on the scope of the related damage...it's up to the repair shop to contact the insurance company to report more damage if found--this is called a supplement...all repair shops know this is standard practice with insurance estimates; if they can show that it is accident-related, the insurance will pay for it, based on their own confirmation of the additional damage.
Thirdly, "anxiety???"...c'mon dude. You're fiancee's a big girl and you & she are both adults. You both have the mental capacity (hopefully) to ascertain if a car is safely driveable...don't try to stick that on the Allstate guy. It's YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to know if you can drive your car or not. If the hood flew open later, then it wasn't the estimator's fault. By your own admission, in his "BIG RUSH" he didn't have time to open it. And by the way, give your future wife a formal congratulation for being this unfortunate Allstate employee's royal PITA (that's "pain-in-the-a*s" to you & me) of the day by her showing up 10 min prior to his likely closing time of 4:30pm and being a picky unsatisfied a-hole with no understanding of the insurance estimating process on top of that! Consider those apples.
