I did not see you mention that you changed the address to your new one when you paid the bill. This could be the problem. Most times there are some charges after you pay your bill because Alltel in most markets bill in advance for your monthly service fee, but have to bill after the fact obviously for charges such as roaming and long distance.( reason being we can not predict what your long distance or roaming charges will be before you actually use the phone the same way we can predict that if you are on a $29.99 rate plan that fee doesnt change, the only thing you are billed after that is roaming or long distance from the previously month.) You may have also disconnected in the middle of your billing cycle. An address change would have taken care of that or a forwarding address. We get tons of mail back undeliverable and have a department that works to correct this and get the bill to you. We make several inside efforts to collect, before it is even sent to collections and then eventually written off.
