I paid a payment for my truck payment online since they did not take the automated payment that I had set up two months previous. I noticed there was two payments out of my bank account. When I called customer service in the PHILLIPINES (oh my gosh) I spoke to two idiots that did not care that they had taken out two payments. Told me after 10 days they could start the process to refund me a check. Said it would take up to 20 plus days for their standard procedure to make sure my payment had cleared (since it was already debited to my bank account) then they would issue a check in the mail and it would take 5 to 7 working days for me to recieve my extra payment.
I told them this was not acceptable, they simply said that is their standard procedure and  there was nothing else they could do. I find it hard to believe in this day and age with all the electronic transfers available, and since they accept electronic transfers, that they would not under no circumstance refund my funds electronically.
This company should be ashamed of themselves for outsourcing their customer care to the Phillipines of all countries, and not use Americans that might care about one another. Yes I am pissed. My employment is a customer care director for an auto dealership that uses ALLY Financial. I will never recommend them for financing again and do everything i can to make sure our customer finance elsewhere.
