Signed up for their affiliate program and started promoting several of their popular scripts on my site. Their terms for the affiliate program is simple:
- Earn a whopping 35% per sale
- Payment is made by Paypal, Stormpay or E-Gold. All payments are made by the above methods within 15 days after the end of the period.
- No commissions are paid on the first sale.
- Pay periods end at 12:00:01am on the 1st and 16th of each month.
- The minimum payable amount is $150.
Between December 2010 to May 2011, I managed to refer 3 sales to them which qualifies for the minimum payment threshold. I was supposed to receive payment on 16th of May. I even emailed them and asked if payment would be expected at the time.
Reply from them are as such:

Hi Daryl,
We did a check on the 3 sales, there is the pending payment due next month 15th which meets the min $150 payout.
Do let me know if you have any other questions.
Regards,

When I did not receive any payment, I asked them again via their support page and this was their reply:

In the affiliate member area, this is the stats as of today:
Date CLICKS COMMISSIONS
Raw Unique Transactions Debit Total
August, 2011 4 4
July, 2011 22 14
June, 2011 73 59
May, 2011 142 113 1 62.3 62.3
April, 2011 18 10 1 62.3 62.3
December, 2010 25 21 1 62.3 62.3
So it has been 6 payment cycles that has passed without payment. Apparently after encountering this experience, it seems AlstraSoft is also ripping off customers who purchases their scripts which can be found via a simple Google search or at Sitepoint.com forum.
Moral of the story, don't promote their scripts and don't ever purchase their scripts.
