Americas Servicing Company dishonest, ripoff Des Moinesbaltimore Des Moines Iowa
I recently refinanced with a company witch sold my mortgage. My mortgage has been sold three times since febuary.
I was forced into purchasing flood insurance and when i got someone from another company to help me prove that it was not required i recieved a certification just in september. I faxed this to ASC then called to verify reciept.
There was a big hassel about geting any information and you can never talk to the department that is taking care of what ever it is that you are in need of. Needless to say they did recieve my fax and said to me on the phone that the information would be reviewed and we would recieve a letter.
My husband then called them and got a different person at this time and was told that they would just need to make sure that the document was authentic.This document has all the information of who what and where it came from with a phone number on it. Myself and my husband began calling to check the status everyday, we spoke never to the same person and was given different information.
On one off our phone conversations i was acualy told that "Thanks for all the hard leg work you made our jobs easier if you are ever looking for a part time job let us know."
On the second week of calls i was able to speak to what i was told was a supervisor. This women very rude and nasty tells me that i needed to file a form with fema for a despute of my flood determination. I then got very angry because i was not disputing this i was satisfied with the determination. I refused and she told me that she would note the account that i was not going to comply.
I then took a entire day placing calls on my rights and got the company that supplied the document on the phone explained the problem to them and they made a three way confrence with myself,them and ASC. The women from the first american flood data service got them on the phone and explained that this was a legal binding certificate and we are not required to carry any flood insurance. The women from ASC then tells her that they allready sent a letter stating we are not required to carry insurance. I then asked if i could continue the phone call with this women from ASC, the FAFDS then hung there line up. I then asked why was it that i was not on the phone with them 10minutes ago and was told i need to file a LOMA. She told me that the system had not been updated at that time. I then aske to have this faxed to insurance company so i can cancell the policy and get refund. The women stated before i hung the phone up that it was sent..
The next day i called the insurance they never recieved anything from this company. I called the ASC back and requested it to be faxed again. This company charged me a $10.00 charge to fax this document.
I still never recieved this letter that was told to me to have been sent to my house.
A day later i did recieve a letter from the ASC only to tell me that the request for a escrow account made in june of 2005 was not going to take effect. The next day still another letter telling me that our mortgage payment was now going to be $934.00 for them paying a $2000.00 tax bill for school tax.
My husband infuriated from this called ASC on 10-09-05 to discuss this and the representative he spoke to told him that they had already sent a check in this amout to our village. Our school tax is only $633.00 a year. The company then wanted us to take care of this to get them there money back. I refuse to do any more of there work.
They really wanted us to justify there mistake and correct it for them.
I refuse to continue to take the abuse from this company and need to file a formal complaint this has costed my family a lot of time, money and pain.
