America's Servicing Company ripoff The Snake Has Now Shed His Skin Gaithersburg Maryland
My loan was transferred to America's Servicing Company 6 months ago. Everything was fine for the first 5 months. Payments were posted on time. The escrow figures were correct. I had no problems with Account Managers, (not customer service agents), returning my calls. Everything from my previous loan servicer to America's Servicing Company was accurate. Then comes my statement for February 2005.
All of a sudden, my escrow account is -$2798.00. Also forced placed insurance will be charged to my account beginning in March 2005 for $4900.00. Therefore, my monthly payments will be increased by $612.00 per month. What the F*****!! I thought that this may have been a slight error.
Therefore, I faxed a copy of the PAID IN FULL receipt from my insurance company, and evidence that my escrow account was +997.63 in January 2005, and this was AFTER my taxes were paid in December, and AFTER my insurance was paid in November 2004. Outcome------we did not receive your fax--please fax again to our "special urgent care" fax number. I faxed it---OUTCOME..we did not receive it. I fedexed the documents and paid $14.00+ to have it delivered.
I called America's Servicing Company. We have not received it. Two days later, I sent the documents out by certified mail, and guess what..we did not receive it. The account manager that was handling my loan after the transfer of my loan is now not returning phone calls, nor answering correspondence. I was told today, that my loan, that has never been delinquent since 1992, is in the Loss Mitigation Department because according to their records, I haven't made a payment since my loan was tranferred by my previous loan servicer. BULL****!
Not only have I always made my payments on time; I USE WESTERN UNION! According to America's Servicing Company own statements that are sent each month, there has never been a delinquency on my account, and each statement reflects that payments have been received. Guess what? America's Servicing Company stated this afternoon that they had posted all of my payments, but in January all of my checks from September 2004 to the present bounced on the same day. FUNNY, I didn't know that Western Union sends out personal checks that are postdated for 6 months! Well, "Problem Posters" I am now a Believer.
By the way, my brother in law loan was transferred to America's Servicing Company last year, and his experience is almost identical to mine. He told me to go to this website, and file a claim. If we have enough filings then we may be able to start a class action suit.
