I refinanced my home loan and it was sold to this company. In the last few months I have had nothing but problems with the time it is taking them to process my monthly mortage payment. On December 7th 2005, I mailed my payment to them first class mail from Oregon to California. After checking my bank account I noticed my payment had not been processed and it was getting near the 15th. I called the company and they said they did not have my payment. I told her I was concerned because the late fee would be charged to me if it is not processed by the 15th of the month.I felt that 8 days was enough time to get a payment from Oregon to California. I waited a few more days and on December 19th after the check had not cleared my bank and the company has said they did not have the payment I called my bank and put a stop payment on the check figuring it was lost in the mail.

I waited a few days and called their automated phone line to make my payment by phone so I would not have my credit ruined. They charged me a $49.78 late fee and a $12.50 fee for paying by phone. The missing check I had placed the stop on tried to post to my checking account on December 23rd 2005, 17 days after I mailed it to them.

I mailed my January payment out certifed mail with a request for a signature. I mailed the check on January 6th 2006 to get to Los Angeles by the 15th of the month. The post office said it only takes two days to deliver an envelope to California. I started to check the post office website for a delivery date for this item and as of the 12th the check has not been credited to my loan and the post office said they do not have any signature on the envelope because the company has not picked it up or if they did pick it up they have not signed the card. I now belive that they have a processing problem with thier site in Los Angeles this company has a lack of concern on this issue and when I have asked them to contact thier processing center they tell me they are in Maryland and not in California. I told them that I have no option but to have to pay to make my payment by phone at a cost of $12.50 a month. Maybe this is how they want all of thier payments to be processed they would make alot more money this way. This company does not offer a website to make a payment on and the only way to pay them is by mail or $12.50 for a phone check.Well when they don't process payments in a timely manner they end up making us pay late fees and telephone fees. I am hoping that this problem will not continue and was wondering how many others are having this same problem? I could not be the only one. I have called the post office and they are researching my last payment that has not shown up again.
