I am a 71 year old who was a very sick individual at the time of the ripoff.

I applied for a re-finance loan to make sure I could pay my due bills the loan was quoted at 6.5%,loan was completed but in no way did the final loan resemble the promised loan.

Some may think this is My fault, however I was just released from the hospital the day the loan processor came to My house.

He told Me the loan was as agreed and told Me to simply sign where needed and the proceeds would be issued. And to do this quickly He would point out the areas that needed to be signed.

With an oxygen mask on I did as He directed.

When I was well enough to review The 6.5 agreed was at 9.5,the insurance escrow promised did not exist. This rip off replaced a 30 year fixed Fha rate of 8 %,with a 2 year adjustable that could become 15%.God only knows what the rate will become.

Irate at Thier taking advantage of an elderly sick person I have sent numerous letters I received a snarly basically unable to assist me and why did You sign it no matter how hard I tried to explain.

#2Consumer Suggestion

You can also try to file a complaint with HUD. You can search the internet for their website. My suggestion to people over 62 years of age with a lot of equity in their property is.... look into a reverse mortgage option instead of a refinance. The reverse mortgage option will pay you each month and eliminate mortgage payments. this website will give you valuable information on this type of loan CLICK here to see why Rip-off Report, as a matter of policy, deleted either a phone number, link or e-mail address from this Report.

Call your State's Atorney General (don't write, unless you have have a spare six months to wait for a reply). Find out what forms if any you need to file. Then stay with us on this forum and get as much info as possible. You will probably end up needing an attorney. One that has experience in going up against AMC would be best, and this is the place to find one. Lot's of good info here and an occassional AMC agent telling consumers that this is all their fault, as everyone knows there is a thief, con artist, and crook waiting around every corner, and that the first time we actually put our faith in someone we shouldn't, it all the victims fault - according to the crooks... Good entertainment reading their posts. Dave
