ANS Air Ducts AOS Air et al fraud and misrepresenting themselves as a competitor Dallas, Texas
Complaint Description:
ANS Air Duct performed ac cleaning service and sold air filter which does not fit and is not responding to my requests to rectify this. On July 7, 2012, I performed a detailed search for air duct services via BBB Dallas website. I came across a company called Aire Serv of N. Dallas and proceeded to click on the website link provided from the Dallas BBB. I was then forwarded to the company website where I filled out my service request. I then received an email confirmation from Aire Serv of N. Dallas that my request was received. On same date, I received a phone call confirming my appointment for July 9, 2012. It appears the company that came to do the work was ANS Air Ducts which is not the company I requested service from. ANS proceeded to do the work as I assumed such a service regularly gets outsourced to other vendors. I also ordered a filter for my ac at their recommendation as it was reusable at a cost of $134. It would need to be a custom fitted filter due to size. I was promised it would arrive by July 13th and it did not. I called the number on the invoice for ANS (same as on the BBB) on July 27th and asked about my filter. The lady apologized and said the filter was never ordered and will do so immediately. The filter was not received until August 6th and it was not the correct size. I phoned the contact person at ANS on August 7th to no avail. I then phoned again on August 8th and spoke to same lady (didn't get name) and she stated this would be corrected and another one issued. I asked her how this is possible since in order to correct the error, someone would need to come and measure the air filter once more. She said yes, she would email someone and they would contact me. On August 9th, I phoned ANS again to no avail and left a voice mail. On August 9th, late afternoon I phone and left another voice mail for ANS advising at this time I need a full refund since no one seems to want to address the issue. On August 10th, I phoned ANS twice to no avail and was hung-up on at least once. August 10th, I reverted back to the original email confirmation I received from Aire Serv and phoned them to complain. After speaking with a rep at Aire Serv, it was then I understood that Aire Serv does not outsource any work (this is what the rep stated over the phone) and showed no record of my service request, but I had an email confirmation showing I made a request. The rep was curious as to how this might have happened and I advised him I clicked on the link associated with their company from the Dallas BBB website and received a confirmation but it appears a different company came out to do the work. It is my opinion that ANS Air Ducts is misrepresenting itself as Aire Serv of N. Dallas or any possibly
